I have a question: why do you use a different Shed for either side? Judy from Australia

I think you're referring to making the keyhole slot in the middle. If so I don't actually change the shed, I was just using the heddle to beat the yarn in place on each side of the hole. So weave the left side, beat, right side, beat, then change the shed for the next row. I hope that helps.

Yes, I use the rubber shelf liners from the dollar store.

What yarn did you use for this projecct?

I used yarn from Hobby Lobby, Yarn Bee brand soft and sleek, low pill fiber. Any DK weight yarn would work for 7.5 or 8 dent heddle. Or I often use fingering weight yarn in a 12 dent heddle.
