Weaving a Sample for The Bobbin Tree

This video is about Weaving a Sample Scarf for my local yarn shop, The Bobbin Tree. Using a self-striping yarn on a rigid heddle loom, I test out an idea for a kit. As with most of my videos, this is not a tutorial. I just like to show you what is happening in my studio. I am happy to answer any of your questions though!

Kari, a lovely, elegant sacarf, as usual! I have that exact loom and a 32 in Kromski. Love both! I am a big fan!! My son who is from Germany, grew up in the USA, has a Canadian girlfriend. She has been here since 3 months. Canadians are great people!!! Hugs from Cleveland.

Love this, saving for my loom, wanting either the 10" sample it or the 16" Sample .... I'm unsure which to purchase, also, how long did you warp and how many slots did you warp for the width? I have subscribed to your vids as I love how you explain everything.

Thank you for subscribing. I love my little 10" Samplit. This video used the 16" Samplit and I enjoyed that too. In fact, while the 16" was in my hands I filmed a little comparison video. I wasn't going to edit and post it because I really didn't come to any conclusion on which I preferred. But maybe I should?

I just realized I didn't answer all the questions. It is an 8 foot warp. That's how long my table is. I warped until the yarn ran out. I'm not sure how many slots or ends that is as I sent all my notes off to The Bobbin Tree. I'm sure Janet can set you up with any equipment, yarn and info.

How much yarn did it take for the warp and how much for the weft? What was the epi? Thank you. I so enjoyed the video.
