Webasto Thermo Top C Diagnosis | West Tech Mobile in Calgary

Webasto thermo top C diagnosis/teardown. This was done because there was coolant leaking out of the exhaust. We figured out why it was happening. It ended up being the two last o rings near the end of the video… they got hard and started bypassing coolant.

Can you buy them o-rings for the coolant?

Great video where would you buy those o rings are they just general o rings my webasto somtimes makes a weird noise i changed the water pump and it still does it not all the time im wondering if maybe the coolant is dripping into my burn chamber i can feel it make popping ratling noise if i hold the coolant pipe any ideas?

Those o rings... you just need to take them to your nearest seal shop or o ring distributor and just match them up. Mention to go a little thicker than what they look like.

Thanks for the video. Do you know which pin on the X1 connector triggers the unit to start up when 12 volts is applied? The diagrams I’ve found aren’t very clear.

Hi, Im in Calgary and just installed a wabasto heater in an old 91 Dodge W-350 as per instructions on 'Ovens Garage' video. heater worked great for 2 cycles and now keep giving me an overheat code. assumed an airlock but have bled the cooling system out verry well by adding a flushing T on the heater return circuit and still is giving me the error code even after clearing the code on the control unit. Have any ideas on what could be going on? Thanks

Hey! I have a thermo top c petrol which i am currently testing. When i wire it all together, it runs the waterpump, and water is pumping, but the motor wont go on, so the water stays cold… Do you maybe know what the problem coult be?
