Weber 32/36 carburetor installation

Bought a Weber off Amazon from Pierce Manifolds. MAZDA NISSAN ISUZU WEBER 32/36 DGEV CARBURETOR CONVERSION K 662

The studs do not need tightened like that with the nuts at all. They only run in finger tight by hand and stop flush with the bottom plate. They will push the adapter plates apart and possibly break them. The instructions from redline weber i have also say to use gasket sealer on the gaskets but specifically not to use rtv. I used aviation gasket sealer on gaskets and blue locktite on all fasteners as recommend in my case. It has been noted that the adapters are not true as in flat on the sealing surfaces in many forums and is recommended to sand them on a flat surface. I found this to be true as i revealed several low spots immediately upon sanding them down which could have potentially been vacumn leaks.

Thanks for the information Aaron. It's been on there for a little over two years now with zero problems occurring and zero adjustments needed. Maybe we just got lucky.

Great job, you had the right friend to stand watch. I over tightened the studs and damaged the plate below on the first try. I suggest using Edelbrock gasgacinch with a super light coating and also recommend using locktite on all the allen bolts, because of the excess vibration, and it even helps set those studs so you do not rank down on those studs and end up ordering another adapter kit, like I did. Just a 30 dollar piece of advice...

The nuts on the Hitachi are extremely difficult to access. It looks like 3 of the Weber are out in the open except for the Right Rear one - how difficult was that nut?

Was it just plug and play did you have to tune it much or play with the idle screws as the video doesn't show much

It actually fired right up first time without any adjustments. We did do some minor adjustments to dial it in

@@StanixGarage I've got mine plugged in but seems to rev to 4k not sure if choke is not engaging or if something is not set up correctly guess I best start from scratch and set it up by the book 🤣 unless it's got a vacuum leak as my brake booster is not connected at the min

Do the double carburator give You more power? What about gas comsumption?

With it the engine will get more air and more fuel than a standard single barrel carb. You can tune a two barrel to where it uses the same amount of fuel as a single barrel but why would you when can get more fuel which more air and more fuel going through the the motor means you will get more power

yo so after you cut the throttle cable end piece and connected the bolt to the carb how did you secure it in place?

The bolt has a through hole where the cable goes through and a nut secures it in place.

The automatic choke was it connected to positive or negative

Positive. Not constant. Only when key is on.

I was just about to ask this, I’m sure with luv trucks they came with electric chokes so I’m sure they already have a positive wire for the choke it self ( do u know what color the wire is? ) I have a 79 luv and I’m thinking about getting the Weber kit but looking for info about it first

What type of fuel pump you using? How many psi and how many gph?

Luvs use a low pressure 3-7 lbs is all the Luv needs ...higher pressure will cause a float problem.
