Corvette bodies were made to be modified. Lowering, fender flares, spoilers, hood bulges, wide wheels/tires. Bad boy mods.

Hot in the passenger cabin unless upgraded heat shielding is used under the carriage, as well as more modern and thicker internal insulation, notably around the engine tunnel. All that said, one of the best designs that stood the test of time: 15 model years! Thank you Chevrolet, we love your work.

I bought a 1970 Corvette Stingray in 1996. She needed a lot of work if you know what I mean. I really enjoyed having her, and drove her 350/350 L46 4 speed. The original color was Laguna Gray Metallic, and was in need of restoration, or a preservation. She did not look like, or sound like the one in video, but kudos to this one, and many others like her. Mine was original body, not with flared fenders and other custom features. Sold her in 98'! Still I enjoyed this video, thx.

Dude, in the 80's the Corvette was pretty much what it is now. One of the fastest, best handling, most iconic cars in the planet in the time. The 90's C4 were still fast, with versions like the ZR-1 and the Super Sport being extremely fast for the time, tuned after the release of the Viper. Of course, the car went through hard times in the late 70's until '81, but most of the car industry did too. Your Elise was an Exige in some othe video by the way.

I like the chrome bumpers from 1968 -72 best of the C3 generation Corvettes. This one have L88 fender flares and offset trailing arms because of the wide wheels. For those that wonder it is Centerline wheelws(this type of wheels was pretty common in the late 80`s and early 90`s I think this car is really though I think the best looking Corvette is the C2 1963-67

@unclefreddie70 they made a nonofficial concept of the c7 based on the design of the c3, it looks really good. it's called the c3r, too bad they're not going to put it into production though. i doubt gm would take a retro aim at the corvette.

The car is mint and I love how all the mods flow together. My dream car is a '71 stingray. I was just wondering what was the inspiration to go total custom on this vette? Most people freak when you change anything on these cars especially when they know as much about them as you clearly do. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying that stock is the way to go. My vette will have mods to it. I just didn't realize that there were any other true vette freaks such as you that would change one so much.

i have a question about the 69- Corvette's rear window, is the car really good viewed from an aerodynamical point of view when it comes to the rear window, i mean, isn't the car having some sort of disadvantage with that rear window the Corvette got, that rear window pressed back, i don't know if it's good when it comes to aerodynamical aspects, when like you're about to make a classic dragracing/NASCAR-Corvette replica, or was there available with a more aerodynamical rear window?

@Janusha There is differences in the body if you look. I doubt they went and bought up 300RR bodies that don't exist, because they are quite rare. They never claimed it wasn't a Lotus, they stated several times it was a Lotus, and it remains a Lotus. Why the hate? Just because an American tuner company decided to revamp an Elise? You don't see this kind of heat on an RX7 Veilside Fortune. For the record, I like Lotus. I just don't understand the hate.
