Since this video was made siteground has DISCONTINUED their live chat support and are now email only! Been 2 weeks and STILL they have not got the site data working correctly. We deeply regret migrating over to them. You really do get what you pay for!

Am not able to update my current Joomla 3.10.4/PHP7.0.33 so it is necessary to load Joomla4/PHP8 then a compatible template into existing SiteGround account. Then transfer data from one to the other. Where do I start please? I do not see a process for this in your tutorial or did I miss something?

Thanks for creating this tutorial, but be aware that service policy of Siteground is changed a lot, now chatting with technical staff is not possible, and basically, Siteground is saying either pay us to do things such as backing / restoring your site OR read our tutorial and do it yourself, therefore, you need to change most part of your video to update it to comply with this change of policy otherwise from the Time 13:40 you see some differences between your video and the new upgraded version SiteGround hosting software

The main problem with Siteground, is there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HELP over the phone at all

Dont go for SITEGROUND ... big issue happen with me .. i forgot to renew my hosting because of some health issues .. Site ground just wipe out my all website data after 30 days .. they not even mailed or contacted me about their such policy .. i have lost all data and everything for which i spent almost year .. i asked them if they have any backups ill pay for it but no use .. its their policy to erase all your data after a month . so think and decide.. thanks

I joined Siteground after reading so many wonderful reviews, however, they have the WORST customer service EVER provided (that's my experience). They simply don't care

@@TheWebMonkey I bought a plan, received confirmation of the purchase, create password, credentials and login. Next day I installed WP, then decided I wanted 2FA ( two factor authentication. increased security), setup 2FA, OK, log off, login and then requests the 2nd password, at this point Siteground reports it has sent an SMSs to my mobile. Never received the SMS and after 2 days of using it Siteground, I cannot login into my website, in fact I cannot login into Siteground. Siteground Support expects me to login to receive support. I cannot login, I reported the problem last Tuesday, still nothing. I understand their reluctancy to provide support to somebody who cannot login (false account, social hacking), but if the platforms offers 2FA, it should work. I would like to point out I use 2FA with Google, Zoho and Twitter and works just fine. I expect this week I will finally be granted assistance I need, after a week I don't even have a support ticket number.
