I rode south Newport through the seventies and eighties, and thought my body was pounded to the physical limits .. Boy was I wrong, every one of these guys are incredible athletes.

Nobody ever shows that famous Josh Garner wipeout at The Right where he freefalls top to bottom on a 15 footer. It's one of the most legendary wipeouts in the history of our sport.

Hands down it’s the Australians that hold this tittle.It’s legends like Bullet,Wazza,Nugget,Wingnut that Paved the way. These Hellman where charging in the mid 90’s putting slabs on the map like The Island,The Box,Cyclops etc..🙏🙏🙏🙌🙌🙌

Blessed to be born and live on da same island Tom Morey invented the boogie and Stewy grew up.I was blessed to grow up surfing with and competed against the likes of Spencer Skippz! 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾Our Slabs on jagged lava shorelines with no reef reminds me of Aussie slabs a million years ago before it got groomed.

@kanakamokunui1039 Brother thst sounds amazing,, 🔥 and how cool is this my 13-year-old son is on a "newskool" mach-7 & he froths on it.. it even the has those early 90's colour match with the Bold black font stamped into Yellow deck, black rail & super Rad orange skin.. I was born year 77 and yes it'd bloody kool lookn back... Those comp days with the likes ot Jay Reale, Seamus, Ben. Kianoa and co. must of went off. 🤩🤩 Throw in Soulmen like the Seer, Danny K with his stand up bazzaz and can almost see the hundred years from way over here in Perth🤣 I still hit it with my Son and a small krew ,,, got more days ahead, hopefully our first O'Seas "Booga" trip togethee is coming soon
