Thanks for this upload, we all know how great Dave Weckl is, but these musicians are also amazing to listen. Great singer, fantastic backing vocals, the sad part is that we have to search with a magnifying glass quality music like this. No media support. I'm tired to see Lady Gaga's face. THIS is MUSIC. Thanks again.

Dave is such an influence musically and his approach to playing. His sound, his ears, his touch, detail to the music and sensitivity towards the art of drumming! A huge inspiration for me. I first heard him when he put out Tower of Inspiration, and also with Chick Corea. Still listening and loving the music and arrangements. Listening to his music and playing and band interactions, there is never a dull moment. It's fun to hear his reactions to the music he is playing and how musical he plays! Very inspirational to me! Learning about his background playing music with his father, my Father and I also played music together. I started at 18 mo. old. At about 7 years old I began playing along with rock and popular music from the Monkeys, Beatles, Led Zepplin, and on... then around 8 or 9 I started listening to my Fathers swing records and began playing along. Ie. Glenn Miller. Ray Mckinley was a big influence playing along listening to all the stuff he did and trying to emulate his musical touch on the drums turning the record player up full blast and playing along. It was easy for me to pick things up off of records on the drums. Then I heard Buddy Rich on T.V. for the first time. He was doing a live concert in New York at The Top. This was at about the age of 11.I knew right then that this is what I wanted to seriously do in my life. I began playing along with every Buddy Rich record I could get my hands on, and saw him live many years till he sadly passed. A Huge influence on me! I too got into hearing Steve Gadd's grooves from 50 ways to leave your lover at around the age of 13 to his jazz fusion and funk kind of playing which led me into fusion styles. i also was listening to all the great Bebop players growing up in my teen years. Max Roach, Kenny Clark, Elvin Jones, Roy Haynes, Philly Joe Jones, Shelly Mann, etc... Attended drum clinics studying with Alan Dawson, Ed Shaugnessy, Carmine Appice and more. I'm still at it. Dave is my teacher and mentor. I hope to continue my studies with him, and keep playing all the gigs that I can and keep the progress going in my playing and always practicing. At 54 now, I've been teaching privately going on 36 years now and playing 52 years. I still have the love and aspiration to keep going and growing on the Drums.

Weckl is not "just" an drum-technician playing moster drumfills and solos. He understands grooves at the higest level. Supportive and mature. respect!
