To me the beauty of your recipes is the ability to improvise. I see so many places where I can make little changes to the ingredients or spices used. It really helps to ensure monotony is never an issue.

@drunkenmaster I don’t think they are trying to convince you to give up meat. This is just a high protein dish option like meat . Also some people literally can’t afford meat and alternatives are their only option. Be open to people giving new ideas or least they are new ideas to some of us. Also, you might try and love this recipe, who knows. Anyway us all being different is what makes the world go round. I understand some vegans try to force their beliefs on others. I don’t like that myself but I don’t think this person is trying to do that. I eat some vegan dishes and really enjoy them. I eat meat occasionally too, and sometimes I might eat it a solid week. I actually feel better when I eat vegetables rather than meat though and seem to have more energy. Anyway, just putting my 2 cents worth into the conversation.

Chickpeas breadcrumbs. Where can I find them? Thank you for this wonderful video!
@WeCookVegan4 ай бұрын
Hello Linda and welcome! 🌷 Thank you so much for watching! and your question! To make chickpea crumbs you need to soak dry uncooked chickpeas in water for about 18- 24hrs. Then add the soaked chickpeas in to food processor and pulse it but not to puree. Then spread the chickpeas on baking tray and bake them for about 20 minutes. Then transfer the baked chickpeas in to food processor ones again and pulse it again a little bit. Store chickpea crumbs in a glass airtight container for cooking your delicious food. You can substitute chickpea crumbs for bread crumbs but I usually make chickpea crumbs as I like them a lot and use in different dishes. Thank you ones again and sending you my best wishes! 🌞 😊 💖

Can I do either of them or is there any reason to do one over the other? I made the first recipe which was very good. The second one I am trying but changing a little because I don't have sun dried tomatoes and don't like olives. I figured I would make it similar to the first one just with yellow peas and zucchini. Your recipes are very interesting. I just have a problem because I like to have a name and a printed paper with the recipe. Meat is healthy in moderate amounts - keeps your skin- hair - and nails strong and skin from sagging --( vitamin B12) can't get that from beans alone - any diet that goes to an extreme is unhealthy - you must eat a variety of foods - - healthy diet is the Mediterranean diet which certainly includes meat

It says United Kingdom doesn’t that mean England, etc. and yet you don’t speak English. What language do you speak? How many people do you cook vegan for in your family?

United Kingdom = England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales-a UNITED Kingdom.

Nothing better than meat …
@MaverickRam5 ай бұрын
You only speak for yourself when you say this. For many, some vegetarian or vegan dishes can be tastier than meat. It's all dependent on the cooking!

👋 Hello Rob! Thank you for watching and sharing your view. Why do you think meat is better? I do not know a single fact why it's better :) Lentils not just taste better than meat when cooked in a right way, they are also better than meat in many ways! You might be surprised to learn the following scientific facts: ✅ A mere 1.5 cups of lentils contains just as much protein as a 3 oz chicken breast, but lentils contain the dietary fiber, copper, phosphorus, and manganese that you can't get from meat. ✅ Lentil proteins provide not only dietary amino acids but are also a source of bioactive peptides that provide many benefits. Lentil proteins do contain amino acids. ✅ Pound for pound, raw lentils have more protein than steak. While not as protein-dense once cooked, they pack even more iron than meat, in addition to other vitamins and minerals. Fast to cook, easy to store and exalted enough to be buried with the pharaohs of ancient Egypt, these seeds have sustained empires. ✅ For every 500g of ground beef, you can substitute 150g of dried, uncooked lentils; once cooked this will result in 500g of cooked lentils. ✅ Lentils provide more iron than meat ✅ Cooking with plant based ingredients like lentils is good for the animals. ✅ Lentils are fast to cook, easy to store and exalted enough to be buried with the pharaohs of ancient Egypt, these seeds have sustained empires. ✅ Dried lentils can be stored for many years. Sending you my best wishes! 😊

You're eating vegan that's fine but do not use something like 'Better than meat' or some bullshit.

@@MaverickRam I speak for every omnivore out there. The chef that can cook great vegan dishes can cook great non veg dishes as well. A vegan dish can't be better than meat taste wise. For some people health wise they may be better.
@akashtopder72515 ай бұрын
@@MaverickRam Nope. You can't compare chefs with doctors like that. I have friends in the hotel management industry so I know. The specialization of chefs does not happen with respect to veg and non veg foods. It depends on the type of cuisine they can cook well. If a chef can cook Indian cuisine well then he would be able to cook both veg and non veg foods. And meat from other cuisine is either an acquired taste or you don't like it at all. For the people that eat them and like them will always taste better than vegan foods. Our cuisine has one of the best vegan foods in the world. From 'Aloo Posto' to 'Sukto' to 'Dhokar Dalna' to 'Doi potoler dorma' , more than 10 great vegan options but there is a reason that we are mostly omnivores. Meat and fish are irreplaceable in our cuisine even though we adore our vegan foods. We eat our vegan foods to break the non veg monotony once or twice every week and not the other way around. And you are directly contradicting with a huge amount of vegan/vegetarians. My country has one of the biggest vegan/vegetarian people in the world. The people that were omnivores before but turned vegan/vegetarian due to religion or health, they anonymously say that you can't compare meat with non-veg food taste wise. Meat just tastes better. This is further proven when people try to compare vegan foods with meat everywhere. Why do you need to compare with meat anyway? Wtf is even 'vegan meat' or something? What is with the obsession of vegan people with meat?
@akashtopder72515 ай бұрын
@@MaverickRam The analogy is completely false. You can't compare apples to oranges just because you want to. No chef specializes in either veg or non-veg foods. They always specialize in a whole specific cuisine. And there is no doubt that meat tastes better. Just because pretentious vegans spread this propaganda does not mean it's true. Most people who stopped eating non veg due to religious or health reasons stands completely opposed to that statement. Sure some people who turned vegan/vegetarian will say different but that's a minority. Gujrat people can't eat non-veg because they're not accustomed to that. Just as simple as that. You're confused between those people that are lifelong vegan/vegetarian and those people who turned vegan/vegetarian. Only someone who eats both or at least eaten both for a long duration can say which has better taste. And the argument about raw meat is highly stupid. Meat is supposed to be cooked. And the global warming reason is not much of a reason at all. Unlike bigger reasons like tree extermination, fossil fuel usage, this part can be better controlled. It's not as big of a problem as vegans claim it to be. The prevention is much easier to implement. You vegans are obsessed with meat because meat just tastes better, you guys know it and you guys want to enjoy the taste of it without feeling guilty. If meat wasn't tastier, you guys wouldn't try to make a vegan version of it. Plain and simple.

@@akashtopder7251Clearly, you have no knowledge on the subject and are just interested in pushing a stupid mindless argument that meat is better tasting. You lack the ability to understand an analogy. You have not done your research and do not want to and just want to spread your propaganda. Talking to you is like talking to a wall which cannot think and just blabbers. Looks like you are totally lost and with your experience of knowing a few people you want to generalize your ideas to the whole society, which is the stupidest thing someone can do. You should learn statistics to understand how generalizations work, that might help you understand. It is clear that you have not met enough people who switched from meat eating to vegan/vegetarianism. You didn't understand the point about chef abilities. You should know that is why there is something known as chef special menus.You didn't understand the context why gujarat point was made cos your rebuttal is again not making any sense. Your experience is clearly very limited to be able to understand that. You don't understand the point of vegan meat. Cos you don't want to do the research. It is not about the taste but for some people who have become slaves to meat eating but do understand the damage it causes and help them out of it. Hope you grow up soon!
