I've made this three times now, I absolutely love it! I tried it with red lentils, once with the cacao and once without (it's CACAO powder, people, not cocoa - there's a noticeable difference in taste), then I tried it with brown lentils, which gave it a very slight nutty taste. I also used a flax 'egg' (flaxseeds and a little water) for my binding agent and it worked out fine. There are loads more variations I want to try! Thank you so much for uploading. I think it's probably the best recipe I've found this year 😊

Okay I tried it. I didn't have psyllium husk or cacao powder. So substituted flaxseed for both of them. I'm very happy with this bread. I just put mine on a cookie sheet so it made a big blog and I sliced it across to eat it. I really like this so I'll make more...

I think this is about a 9inch form, but the beauty of this recipe is that you can make it in any container! You can get a loaf in anything you have, maybe even bake it into small rolls!

It's cacao powder, not cocoa. Different stages of processing, so different taste. I've tried this with cacao and without, and there's not a huge amount of difference (but I liked it with slightly more). Cacao is easy to get hold of and really useful in the kitchen.

If you have access to a store like Sprouts, you could substitute carob powder which is a substitute for cacao. It is non-chocolate but tastes very similar to chocolate.

Хумус - закуска из нутового пюре, в состав которой обычно добавляются кунжутная паста (тахини), оливковое масло, чеснок, сок лимона, паприка. Включайте субтитры, там эта информация есть. I made this the other day, was it supposed to be crusty on the outside. Used the bread for sandwiches, it is an acquired taste. I did toast the bread which was much better with lashings of vegan margarine.

@lesleyvivien2876 Then just do what you usually do without a blender? Personally I couldn't live without mine because I have disabilities that would prevent me from cooking for myself without one, and other gadgets/kitchen adaptations. Blenders save loads of time if someone cooks a lot, and they're GREAT for people with arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, Reynaud's, and a whole list of challenging conditions. But you can just mash lentils with a fork for an hour if that suits you better.

@@jobeans4760 😆 I do have Reynaud's, although I fail to see how that would impact my cooking, unless I wanted to chop ice: and a host of challenging conditions. And I do cook a lot - but my food is whole, not mashed. Why on earth would anyone want to mash lentils? 🤦♀
