At Chiricahua National Monument in SE Arizona we had SE winds from last evening through today. Very lite snow squalls, 50 plus gusts with some trees and limbs down. Temperature drop. High was early this morning at 38. Currently 28 at 18:05.

Appreciate that update... looks like some cold nights ahead. I remember living in Tucson and how it was kind of exciting anytime 20s were forecast.

Just plain old chilly in Show Low but plenty of sunshine to take the edge off. I used to live in Venice Beach a long time ago. I know the Palisades-Malibu corridor well. These images are brutal. However we’ve had a massive increase in population in my lifetime - back in 1997 there were far fewer people and homes there. I’m kind of shocked to see the sprawl of developments on the hills. It’s a beautiful area but the price to live there is very high in more ways than one.

Appreciate the update. I used to visit LA pretty regularly in the 1990s, I almost dread to think what it's like now. The sprawl is something to see on Google Earth.

Thanks great work!! Here in Coastal Maine were dry and coldish, could use a good snow but I didn't see anything headed our way.

I really enjoy and learn something from your forecasts. I subscribed after the first one I watched in mid-December. Out of curiosity, from where is the footage of the ending credits taken?

Strangely mild here in N. Idaho, reports the bears aren't even hibernating, very little snow and abnormally warm temps.

Thanks for the update! Hopefully the bears don't get too hungry wandering around in January.

I live in the Columbia Basin in South Central WA, more particularly in the Tri-Cities, of which Pasco is part of. Anyway we are under the low overcast, and sometimes fog, which is very common and persistent at this time of the year, and which you mentioned in the broadcast. It is chilly, damp, dark, and depressing. And it is the worst feature of our climate here.
