I don't understand why on this show whenever the couple says they don't want a cake or it's too expensive etc, why don't the wedding planners tell them they can pay for 1 tier and the rest of the tiers be decorated fakes? It would save a lot of money!
@marymacdonald78262 жыл бұрын
A lot of the time fake tiers cost just as much as real cake. The cake decorator is still using the same materials, time and skills they'd use if they were decorating a real cake.

The sad thing about the shows (maybe they’re doing it on purpose ) but is that they always wind up cutting the entertainers. Which is sad because if you got their hopes up for a small production that’s money out of their pockets but I’m assuming the show is paying them for their filmed part and they will get some publicity. But if that’s your budget Cut out something else and support the arts!
@dannaseymour8404 Жыл бұрын
1. Until they are paid they don't lose any money. 2. A wedding is not a fundraiser for the "arts" 3. What do you propose they cut out instead? Food? Drinks? Photography? Music? 4. Intercultural marriages can be full of big problems . Not just the wedding . These two will very possibly have difficulty with family interference with christenings , Easter , Christmas and so forth . They need to have a very strong bond to defend themselves against family dictators , and present a united front . As for the Irish dancers , I would consider them essential . The bride after all comes from an Irish background and that needs to be acknowledged before the poor girl is drowned in her groom’s culture . She is already gasping for breath .
@MsJubjubbird3 жыл бұрын
It depends on how cultural they actually are though. A lot of people on their weddings refer back to a culture they never really practice or aren't a part of in their normal lives just for show. I could claim I'm Irish but that would be really lame if I made an exhibition of it given I don't practice any aspect of the Irish culture, I'm a citizen of another country, my surrounding family don't practice Irish culture and I have never been to Ireland. Sounds like his family quite involved with Portugese culture but I don't know if she's just pushing the Irish thing to say "look at me."

I had a custom made designed gown, I designed it and my mother made it, trust me no one knew and it didn’t look homemade either. Decor can be simple venues can be a church and keep your guest list small. My daughter got married three days after shut down in 2020 due to Covid. She had a simple white sheath dress there were 10 people there. I bought her a beautiful bouquet and her friend made them a small selection of finger foods and a lovely cake. It was probably one of the sweetest weddings I’ve been to. It wasn’t what they planned but she couldn’t be happier. People forget it’s the marriage not the wedding that’s important.

Ik these people fail to realize that they just get married for the wedding not for the marriage weddings aren't about money they are about spending time with the people you love when it comes to my future wedding it's gonna be a homemade dinner with a regular hall with my aunt doing the decorations its crazy that people fail to realize that they want everything expensive for their wedding that's not the case

I remember weddings when just cake and punch were the norm, a lot healthier for ones wallet....I can't believe the amounts of money people are willing to throw away for a couple of hours with people you have most likely no close connection with.
