On 20th October 2019, my beloved asked me to marry him, and I (of course!) said YES! 🥰 You can watch the proposal here: • HE PROPOSED! 💍 OUR ABE...
Now comes the fun part of planning the big day! Quite early on I realised that actually, it’s harder than it looks 😂 ... I also realised that I do not want to ever pursue a career in wedding planning 🙊 A wedding can be as CHEAP or EXPENSIVE as you want it to be, don’t commit to paying for something you can’t afford 🙅🏻‍♀️
So far we’ve picked a date, a venue, sent out our save the dates, booked the ceremony and have booked our photographer and videographer cries because we owe lots of money already 😂🙈

Redworth Hall for us August 2021. Platinum is a great choice for rings too highly recommended. I was proposed to after 7 months and he woke me up and proposed with guitar string he made which I still cherish! Obviously I wear my diamond ring now as my original ring wasn’t made to be worn. My biggest tip isn’t to stress too much because things always work out. Hiring a wedding planner too I’d advise also ours was fab from signing contracts to any questions ahead of our big day. Do not think I’m not nervous because I really am!

I am so happy for you, I’ve laughed with you and cried with you over the years. I’m so pleased your going for what you want and not conforming to the “standard”. I hate wedding cake so my mum had a chocolate wedding cake made for me and my guests either ate it or not lol 😂 xx

Hello! I get married this September. After being engaged for 14 months total. Everyone always gets shocked when you try to be organised. Pretty sure they like you all rushed so you pay whatever. Our wedding is small too around 30 guests. Cant wait to follow your wedding planning journey xxx

I think the Laura Ashley hotel you didn't like is the one I got married in 😂 if its in Coventry? That was 4 years ago though, before it was a Laura Ashley hotel! You used to be able to go through the front entrance too! We tried to do the whole wedding on a budget, I would be happy to help of you have any questions re wedding stuff! Congratulations on your engagement ❤️ Edit: just finished the video! You did the same as us! My husband and I met on 22 Oct 2011 and we got married on 22 Oct 2016!!

lizzielady27 Yes it is!! 🙈 I’m guessing a lot has changed there since they got taken over by Laura Ashley. They’ve got photoshopped pictures online of fully decorated Laura Ashley rooms (that they’re using to advertise the hotel as a wedding venue) but these rooms look nothing like it in person! 😧 Aww how lovely! You’ll be celebrating your 10th wedding anniversary a couple days after our wedding day then! ✨

Congratulations both. After about 3 wedding fayres it’s boring, same old, same old. Expensive companies seem to do the rounds. Plus what business is it of theirs when you got engaged 😬 I’m a bit “awkward” with dealing with companies too as it feels like a band wagon if that makes sense......sounds like you prefer a small intimate wedding so you really don’t need to stress about too much. Book the venue and caterer then relax ☺️
