Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 How exciting! You've got a solid start and a good technique to tackle wedding planning. One thing I would say is that your wedding date is quite near. I know bridebook has a timeline checklist but does that take all the Covid disruption into account? My hubby is a wedding photographer and usually gets booked a year in advance, and now due to Covid there are so many rebookings, on top of regular weddings planned for next year, etc. I would find your venue and the suppliers ASAP so that you have a better choice and not have all your faves booked up. Not to stress you but definitely something to keep in mind. Also bridebook is lovely and handy for all the reasons you mentioned but really has a rather small selection of suppliers. I'd definitely use it to its full potential but also join FB wedding groups and use Google as well. Best of luck girl ☺️ really looking forward to this series of videos.

Ah so excited for you!!! Congratulations.....some top tips from a past bride for the initial planning I would shave off 10/20 guests when signing your venue contract as it's easy to add people closer to the date once you get final numbers but if people can't come you will still have to pay for them as you are stuck in a contract for those numbers! Also if you are getting your dress brand new from a bridal store allow for at least 10 months for the dress to be made....I got my dress a year in advance and alterations were still being made the day before the wedding!!!

I’m getting married at Bassmead Manor Barns next year (should have been this year). I would recommend viewing this venue. It’s amazing in person. The ceremony barn sold me instantly. It’s beautiful! Enjoy wedding planning! Exciting times 😊 x

Been married 4 years and still watching this lol. Funny as I know lots of people say try all the dresses etc but I saw one I loved online and hunted it down to find a boutique that stocked it and that was my one and only dress I tried 😊 I would say invest money in photographer and video ! The video is 100% important ! Book your makeup artist early as they book up quick. People will want to be fed and watered, definitely get canapés, main meal and buffet , no one wants crabby guests lol. We bought a crap load of wine and Prosecco from Aldi online and it was sooo cheap! Get a DJ that plays the cheesy wedding hits, honestly people loveeeee it and it keeps the dancefloor full ! Use top table planner for organising tables, I found it so helpful! Get comfy shoes is a must -think mine were Rachel simpson? M&S does wedding cakes FYI, that’s where we got ours 🥰 also a little extra, most wedding photographers leave just after 1st dance so we hired an amateur photographer to take pics of the evening - that honestly is prob my biggest tip! Those pics are priceless !! our wedding is on my KZbin if you’re bored 🤪

So excited for you! I know you are probably being bombarded with tips but thought I’d share a couple anyway if you don’t mind! (Both dress related) 1- everyone says that when you find your dress you just ‘know’. My advise, if you find one that you really like and your thinking, I think this is the one.. it’s probably not the one! When you find ‘your dress’ you will know as soon as you put it on and there will be no doubt. If you don’t have that this is it moment, keep looking. 2- try on EVERYTHING! You will be surprised how amazing something you don’t think you want can look. Plus it’s fun! Who doesn’t want to at least try on the big puffy princess dress. Hehe. I almost didn’t even try on the dress I ended up with as I didn’t like how it looked on the hanger but it was just perfect!

Facebook groups are great. I've joined a 2022 brides group, and the best one i've joined is The cheap wedding stuff community. They have weekend sale threads where other brides can sell anything they no longer need etc. I've had a lot of ideas when looking through the posts.

Your wedding sounds like it’s going to be very similar to mine that is finally going ahead next month! Fell in love with a barn style venue and used Bridebook to organise my day too. Your day will be absolutely beautiful 👰🏼💍💜

Gosh this is so crazy to watch as we are on the other side of this now with 2 weeks away from our wedding day and we have been planning it since 2017 (engaged) and 2019 (venue booked). Enjoy the planning, hopefully covid won’t make it as stressful for you as it has us! Our budget was supposed to be 10k but we spent 15k in the end including honeymoon in Cornwall, my Dad also contributed 🥰

Great video!! I have only just started planning our wedding after being engaged for 5 years 🤣 we're keeping it as low in costs as possible and i haven't even done a check list yet....i have done a rough guest list and we are viewing a venue on saturday which i'm certain we will go for 😊 i have loads of things in place already really! I was given a stunning wedding dress for free and friends are making our cake etc Our budget is max £5000! I would rather spend our money on our house 🤣 good luck with planning my lovely 💕

Where is your stripey top from with the flowers on the sleeves? P.S. look out for bridal shops closing down for your wedding dress (try on everything - I definitely was not thinking strapless big gown but loved it).

I’ve just got engaged and your video helped so much! I was struggling finding a wedding video in the UK! My struggle is the guests we have 180 day guests! And it’s hard to cut them out

I'm having the opposite issue of only 30 guests and so many places have a minimum spend or minimum guests to have the wedding at a venue

Can you make a video on how a 'traditional' british wedding goes? I don't get this 'day guest' 'evening guest' thing 😊

@kyliewebb89483 жыл бұрын
for people who don't understand as even with explanation I still didn't understand this I was curious so I looked up a wedding timeline for theUK and found this 9am - Wake up and have breakfast 10am - Bridesmaids join you get ready 11am-12am - Hair and makeup 1.15pm - Groom, best man and ushers arrive at the ceremony to greet guests 2pm - The Ceremony 2.30pm - Confetti shot and family photos 3pm - Drinks reception 5pm - Wedding breakfast 7pm - Speeches (Father of the bride, followed by the groom and then the best man) 7.30pm - Evening guests arrive 8.30pm - First dance and cutting of the cake 9pm - Party into the night in Australia if there are people we don't want to feed we just invite them to the ceremony and maybe a light snack with finger foods whilst photos are being taken and only invite those we want to invite to the reception our reception cover what the above call wedding breakfast (Dinner for us) speeches first dance cake and party if you exclude people from a reception you usually have just family and the bridal party at the reception Our "Night time" guest would cost the most where as our day time guests don't really cost anything I've even been to wedding where guest pay for drinks after the ceremony before the reception and they supplied nibbles then drinks are paid for by couple at the reception
