Wedding venues, engagement party & vintage haul | Wedding Planning #2 | Emelyne

Today we are touring wedding venues! I toured 3 different wedding venues in New York. They each had a very different feel, the first venue was girly and vintage, the second venue was rustic and the third venue was boho chic! We also had an engagement party and I asked my niece to be my flower girl! Lastly, I went shopping for my bridesmaids proposal boxes! Tomorrow I am going to try on wedding dresses so that video will be up next week!

You should vlog the venue and all the stuff you want to keep secret and make a video of all your final decisions like venue, dress,... and show it after the wedding. You could also do a video giving tips or combine the two.

I think the best idea is to vlog the place, but release it with a wedding vlog (if you do a wedding vlog) AFTER your wedding so we can see it, and you don't have to worry. Love you!!!

I think you should just rent out a nice big open field in the summer on a nice day. Buy or make your own flower arch (to get married in front of) and have your guests in seats and you can be bare foot and walk through the grass with a trail of flower peddles leading up to the arch and then you can have another area with fairy lights and tulle hung above where everyone eats and then eventually dances

When uninspired about what to post etc. Just think of it as your wedding diary. the things you want to be able to look back on and remember what you were doing, thinking, feeling.. Some of the funniest video my daughter looks back on was all the dresses she tried on and our reactions.

The venue you were obsessed with was gorgeous!!!!. Have you talked about your dream venue yet? I don’t remember. But I really think you should not reveal the chosen place to social media until after the wedding.

My son was picky when it came to the wedding cake. We tried 3 vendors before they chose one. I loved the first one. The second one would be beautiful with lots and lots of candles on those tables. It looks like it belongs in the Catskills. The third was very rustic and it does not look like you. You could line up the seats on both side of that long walkway at the first one. That would be beautiful for the rehearsal dinner. Love the natural makeup. Let someone do your hair too. Just do trial runs and then take pictures of hair and makeup so you can repeat them on your wedding day.

i woud say don't show the venue until after your wedding happened and don't say the exact date just the month just to be sure you can always share the date and the venue AFTER the wedding so theres less for you to worry about

To be honest, the first venue is kind of too crowded and has too many mixed prints. Plus, you said that you didn't want a vintage wedding and it's the epitomy of vintage

Kiki J that section you’re talking about is for the bed and breakfast guests only, not the wedding guests! The wedding area is separate from that but we’re not going with that venue because we found a different one we like more :)
