Man that Cizetta transverse V16 is wild! Giorgio Moroder is an icon, a true artiste, and a legend in electronic music. And clearly, he lives his cars. Thanks RMO! Looking forward to more coverage.
@dlux7034 ай бұрын
The Cizetta has a distinct similarity to the Lamborghini Diablo for the entire frontal area and passenger pod. This is easily explained, I'm sure, and also sure many other viewers would be curious to know the connection.

Amazing cars. How great you got to see all these up close. I bet you'd love to go for a drive in some of them. I know I would.

That was fun! Interestingly I have seen the first 4 cars, all in different cities - the Modulo at Pebble, the Ghia "Gilda" in Denver, the BMW Turbo in Colorado Springs and the Mercedes in Vail. I also saw the white Cizeta at Canepa Design in Scotts Valley, CA. I truly hope to see the Stratos Zero and Aston Bulldog someday.

That was awesome!!! I love concept cars, especially wedges. I really like the concourse. Great combination, thank you.

I was 12 in 1979 when the Bulldog appeared on the cover of Autocar magazine which I had just started buying. This was such an amazing looking car in its day and still is now. I'm a huge fan of 70s Aston's to this day.

Great video! I can't wait for a more dolphin shaped car like the Aptera that was also at Pebble Beach that weekend but as a ferry car.

I remember seeing in a Ferrari coffee table book. That had that wedge shape proto-type, almost the same but not quite. Not sure how many were made but this one I remember was also from a 512BB frame but it was i a pearlescent light green with gold reflective glass....was such a stunning car. I remember it to this day as I was so taken with the car.

Good evening Richard . Well , concept cars can always be controversial and one mans meat is another mans poison ! As an Aston lover the Bulldog was my favourite ......just ! I'm sure that to see them in real life gives them a completely different perspective . Thanks Richard

Hi! My name is Bucketroo, and I'm a wedgeoholic. Seriously, I remember half these cars from my childhood, and I had some of them as toys. My all-time favorite is the Ferrari Pininfarina Modulo. Honorable mention for the BMW Turbo, Lancia Stratos Zero, and the Bertone Carabo (not in this video, sadly).

For a contrast, too bad you did not show the Aptera!

Thanks for the tour of this great line-up! My favorite era of styling. If only they'd had the Alfa Romeo Carabo there, they would have had the trifecta with that and the Modulo and Stratos.

Wonderful narration as always. I have been lucky enough to sit in two of these: the Rainbow and the Stratos Zero, which is powered by a rather noisy Fulvia Sport engine. I was at the Grugliasco facility for Bertone when Dr. Panicco drove up in the Stratos, and the Press went wild. Some of them didn't realise that in 1987 that car was already 17 years old! The Marzal is my all time favourite- hope she comes to Pebble one of these days. I can't help but think that the Modulo was the inspiration for the Space:1999 Eagle Transporter. What say you? BTW a friend of mine met you at the Quail- he has an XK150, and said that you're even more charming in person than on the videos. PS, for the love of all things Italian: Lancia is pronounced "LAN CHA" The LAN= "LON, not LAN as in Lamp." Cheers

Wedge intro: I picked up maybe 4 Road & Track issues at a garage sale as a kid. Some had 1970+ Italian show cars like the Modulo with the the Countach soon to follow. I kept looking at every inch above a car's front wheel arch as if it needed to be justified... By design gods, not anything as ordinary as an engine.

Thanks for that walk through. They should of had an M-505 in the class (aka Durango 95).

Haha I came to say the same thing. RMO gives the absolute best show coverage. Being able to voice over all that info live, that really separates RMO from the folks who simply weak around and show the cars. I find that uninspiring. Give me RMOs enthusiasm any day!

What these cars show is how awesome the Bertone X1/9 was as a design. The blue Bertone Ferrari is basically a Fiat.
