I'm always impressed by the quality of restoration you see in cars at this level. The paint is always flawless, perfect panel gaps. I wish I could find a bodyshop like that.

Richard, I think all of us wait for this video every year. Thank you. While I enjoyed seeing the Talbot Lago GS, I was more interested in the Packard directly in front of it. Oh well. I hope you make it back to Paris early next year. Your walk through Retromobile was fantastic.

Nice video with impressive knowledge of the cars. But you ignored the 1929 OM 665 Superba, the first car seen in the video and again at about 19:00, parked next to the Maserati Ghibli. I noticed you caught a couple of pictures of it for the website.

As Tina Turner sang .......Simply the best ! Good morning Richard . What a priviledge to be there and soak in the ambience of these incredible cars , stunning ! How in earth someone decides which is the best l have no idea ! Maybe this particular event doesn't have the onerous task of picking a winner .......your good friend certainly knew his stuff however your knowledge is outstanding . Was the Stratos your favourite ? That tiny V4 !!! And how you enter and exit with dignity is impossible ! Thanks Richard

Thank you for another outstanding video, Richard. You did miss Donald Osborne, who was directly across from you, but he's on another channel. One thing that really bothers me is the lack of protection for these irreplaceable cars. Someone spent $60K+ on a paint job, and some woman just squeezes by, letting her enormous bag drag across the front wing of that pivot door Rolls! What is wrong with the organisers that they pack the cars in with no room for the crowd to walk safely around. No way I am doing this event with my Aston until they get some better crowd control. Really cheapens the whole experience. Sorry for the rant, but I'm the guy that has to fix the scratches and damage to these cars. Can't wait to see your video from the lawn on Sunday, and your Quail coverage. Cheers
@christinalloyd95662 ай бұрын
Totally agree with you. I think the organisers main concern is making as much mullah as conceivably possible and stuff everything else. It is America after all.....I saw a video about car week in general showing a lot of hypercars getting tickets from the police. Looks like the entire event is getting out of control. Retromobile in Paris was absolutely overrun with people to the point that you literally couldn't walk. Trying to escape a fire would have been totally impossible. Very dangerous. Goodwood in the UK is absolutely rammed with people. It's no longer enjoyable to go there. I'm pretty sure as well that 95% of the people there know absolutely nothing about classic cars but they do have an iphone camera and boy are they going to make sure that they use it even though they have absolutely no idea what they are looking at and will delete all the photos when the memory runs out!

One of the cars was a 1979 Ford Probe I Ghia Concept, but sadly, it fell in action during a fire while being transported back home.

Well Done ! Thanks for the post - and BTW - in a reflection off one of the cars, looked like you were using a cell phone camera - yes ? Which, if so... its all very well shot and the audio is also very solid ! Surprising.

The Antem (of Paris) Bentley is one of two 3.5 Litre cars, B24BN and B5EJ supplied to Embiricos the shipping magnate. I think it also appeared at Pebble Beach in 2018

Beautiful cars! What do people spend transporting their cars to Pebble? I’m too poor and not worthy of classic car collecting. BTW, I tried making reservations at the hotels at the Concourse and they have NO availability ever during this event. Another indication of not being worthy 😆
@jpkatz14352 ай бұрын
It's NOT "being worthy", at this level, it the $$$$ ! $$$$ ! $$$$ .
