WEDI TIKABO - Sawa 3rd Eri Youth Festival 2008

This was such a great night - a chance to relax for the students of Sawa and a chance for people like me from the Eritrean diaspora to socialise with our brothers and sisters. I went partly to experience the festival, to see for myself the conditions of Sawa that prove Eri youths are so resilient and spirited and also to document performances for my university dissertation piece (i got a Press Pass by speaking to the right people and discussing my project but my video-ing skills arent the best i'm afraid).
I've noticed alot of Eri videos on youtube get very negative comments - unrelated to the content of the video - but I hope you refrain from using this post to leave hostile msgs. Anyway you can gage the positive atmosphere in this video just by watching the audience - it was such a buzz for a first time camera-woman like me - the feeling is indescribable! Enjoy!
