Yes, the song is about Thomas Edison. If he was a member of an unexpectedly successful indie band. : ) The singer is Utaha. She's the second front woman to record with Wednesday Campanella. She's not from KZbin, but was active as a model and part of the Harajuku fashion scene before joining the group. The other two members are behind the scenes composing music, directing, etc. You might want to check out the music videos for 'Buckingham' and 'Alice'. They feature Utaha. The music video for this song is also very good. KOM_I was the singer from 2013 to 2021. That whole back catalog of songs is really good as well.

She's an excellent performer but I would question the word "pure".. i've listened to her live in various places where the music is usually piped into the venue and she does struggle to stay in tune quite often.. The things that you see as unrehearsed are probably very rehearsed.. Please try to understand Japanese media first..
