Such a treat! It was so heartwarming to watch Faye and Kelly feed the raccoons - especially the babies! Clearly, the ladies were reduced to puddles of mush by the extreme cuteness! But who wouldn't be? So precious! What an amazing experience for people who aren't accustomed to interacting with wildlife!

@@kathybouziane5269 James is trained very well just enjoy your raccoons I myself could probably do the same thing that James is doing but I don't I don't want to take the wildness out of them if something should happen to me I want to know they're able to go back to the wild and fend for their selves I've been doing it for over 7 years now seven generations of families with one mother and she trusts me more than any of them.

Raccons were once though to be apart of the bear family however, they are not. The racccon is classified as a procyonidae. They are also members of the carnivora group and are distinguished by their small size and the fact that they are omnivorous, meaning that they eat both meat and plants. However, raccons are known for eating anything they can get their adapted claws on. This is one main difference between raccons and bears and, has helped determine its classification as separate from bears.

Family is so very important. I'm so glad you got to spend time with your cousin and her daughter. The raccoons weren't afraid to come and get their hot dogs from them. Woody!!! As usual he was shy. I have had the privilege of feeding a Mama, Papa, and now their babies so far this year.. The Mama is one of last year's babies who I hand fed the whole time.. My wife brought home a kiddy pool and I filled it up for them to play in.. Raccoons LOVE Water !! It was like watching children at a public pool playing the entire day.. We have a fairly large patch of woods directly behind our house, so they come out during the day and play in the pool.. It is shaded where the pool is after around 11:00 am, so they feel safe coming out in the daytime.. Grapes !! Oh my goodness, what to say about grapes.. Raccoons absolutely LOVE grapes.. It's like eating and drinking at the same time.. What could be better ?? I also give them bananas, dried cat food, Hot Dogs, etc., among scraps of Everything that people usually throw into the trash.. I offered Mama an apple yesterday and she was like, where the hell are the grapes, dude ?? Now she has started bringing up her babies and they are not afraid of me at all.. They see Mama eating from my hands, so they seem to follow her lead.. Baby Raccoons are the cutest things that exist.. I have just a bit of bias toward them, I guess.. I just can't get enough of them !! They seem to feel the same way.. I know that usually the Father will leave his family after a while, but Dad is staying.. Hell, man, they have Grapes.. I ain't going nowhere !! One year my wife and I were looking out the window and saw 2 raccoons at the bottom of a pear tree.. They were gathering the pears into piles.. We noticed that pears were falling from the tree as the ones at the bottom were gathering them up into piles.. Then I looked up in the tree and there were 2 raccoons in the tree knocking pears down for the others to gather up.. They are Extremely Intelligent !! That cannot be overstated.. In my opinion, raccoons are one of the Most Intelligent animals that we have here in Virginia, U.S.. I really want to bring one of the babies inside the house and give him or her a good home.. I worked at a rehabilitation place where we would be brought baby Everything, especially in the Spring.. We would bottle feed them and would have to use a warm, wet paper towel to rub them in their private places so they would use the bathroom.. This is how it works in the wild, except Mom isn't using a paper towel.. Most would come to us with their eyes still shut.. The very first thing they would see would be me.. I am going to get a baby raccoon, after my daughter leaves us.. It will be raised inside the house and will Not be let outside.. I will have plenty of window platforms so they can lay in the window and feel the breeze as well as smell everything.. I have a brother-in-law who had one for 22 years that lived inside.. She got out one day and was hit by a car.. That is why I say that mine will Never be let outside.. They will be treated like a King or Queen and every day will be Perfect.. I love watching your videos and I absolutely love that fact that you seem to love them as much as I do.. Have a Great day, Sir.. Wonderful to see you and your visitors..
