Tbh yeah - the elves were just basically following their culture and tradition - sure it was harsh because Lyla was just a kid but even then, they did not do anything wrong imo I think Raargh and Tronald fucked up big time murdering a bunch of elves just because of a kid they barely know - like they killed a bunch of people just for one kid (who btw, wasn't even in mortal danger in the first place until they started to threaten the elves)

I like how you expanded and creatively handeled the curing the disease. Im taking notes, great way to give more complexity, suspense and context to a simple healing spell. Im curious how you would handle an exorcism or a haunting. No need to include that for my sake in the story. But i do like it when gm's get innovative and create unique risks to "mundane" or special actions that normally get brushed over. But anyways again Great episode man!

Right. Instead of spells being a genie bottle, make your players use them creatively. I've been thinking of implementing rolls for wounds that take more than just a second level spell to heal and diseases that don't automatically die to a Cure Disease potion. Those things are just unrealistic - if every d&d character is Superman, no enemies will pose a threat.

I definitely really like to that they actually used that as a creative narrative, though I'm a pretty sure part of it is because of the fact that the spell normally wouldn't be able to cure something like that's, hence why Joe asked for a check to try and enhance the spell

The right voices can make a character so much better. I keep thinking of Artie Lange from back in the day, his voice would be perfect for one of these campaigns. He was the one making the Howard Stern show as famous as it was back in the day. He should have enough audio with his 10 plus years being on Howard Stern to get the voice right (i've got it all on a harddrive). The 3 mains are perfect. Emelia Clarke and Miley had good character voices and worked really good in the main campaign, Jenna Coleman would work well too. Stone Cold would be good. Alex Andrew should have had a rivalry with his (unknown) evil shadow brother voiced by tristan. Alex Jones' voice is perfect for so many barbarian type characters.
