Yes! STOP Fossil Fuel subsides!! But people need to realize that we also need to change our wasteful energy habits. People are not getting any ‘signals’ from governments that we must CHANGE our behaviors- quite the contrary. Our government insists everything’s fine!…just keep shopping, traveling and using as much energy as you wish. Party on! Make no mistake, our behavior is unsustainable. And if we don’t make some immediate changes to our energy use, it will come to an end. Fly LESS! Drive LESS! Eat LESS Meat!

Eat less meat IF you over consume, otherwise we feed more crop waste than food we grow to animals so they are more sustanable than having a crop based replacement. In a tank of diesel is the same amount of energy as my total electrical energy over summer for 3.2 months with the air con going 24-7, a huge amount of energy per tank and if I eat the recommended amount of meat it equals 12 cows over 60 years. Agree with everything else, a dramatic drop in consumption has to happen immediately.

it's not the governments- it the corporations and the billionaire ownership class- because the solution is less consumption which means less money ... which is why we are failing in addressing climate change and by default ecological overshoot ... there is no money in solving these issues

@@JaseboMonkeyRex I disagree with your first point. 1. The government is OWNED by the billionaires as our recent election reminded us once again. 2. The government is the only entity that could make the necessary laws to ration remaining resources to help smooth transition, which is coming regardless -It could be sudden and chaotic (likely) or more gradual and calm (hopefully) depending on the government’s actions.

A recent study has described that terrestrial sinks no longer provide a net benefit of drawdown. Also, as the oceans continue to warm their ability to store heat and CO2 will decline. This has accelerated in the Southern Ocean with the large reduction of Antarctic sea ice coverage of the last 3 years. As well societal proactive and reactive activities in regard to the escalating impacts of climate change, including international tensions and military conflicts are all positive forcing feedbacks. As such and for numerous other significant reasons, it is essential that we preserve what remaining viable ecosystems we have. It is going to be a while before we achieve NetZero and we cannot just stand by and watch terrestrial and aquatic environments unravel. In the interest of preserving what is good in both the natural and built environment while reducing feedbacks and averting tipping points, well considered and thoughtfully deployed solar radiation management, as an intervention, makes total sense.

Pay to play, perhaps? I'm aware of how climate change has made these UFO stories our only hope of avoiding extinction within a decade. Immaculate Constellation Document "The official disclosure of the existence of Non-Human Intelligences (NHIs) and their presence on Earth is a pivotal moment in human history." Does anything prove faith worthy of respect more than finding prophets & cherubim in the Yellow Pages? President Carter, informed he lacked a need to know, was left weeping from the UFO brief. He was a man of faith; Earth is owned by machines. Faith feeds followers with ludicrous nonsense: Numbers 12:3 Now Moses was a very humble man, more so than any man on the face of the earth.

The recent uptick in Ocean temperatures is because of the cuts to shipping pollution, which was masking the warming by providing enhanced cloud cooling. Cloud rebrightening is needed to save corals and people from heat exhaustion, which could be done by allowing ships to mix salt aerosol with their, emissions and remove soot. The addition of iron oxide aerosol particles would increase methane removal by clouds, and provide diffuse ocean fertilisation when it rains out, increasing ocean carbon dioxide absorption. that would mimic the effect of mineral dust aerosol, boosting fish stocks and ocean biomass generally.

There is no solution that isn't a timely solution. There is no solution that doesn't cut fossil extraction in time. That time is by 2030. That cut is 100%. You can make it with 1.7% cuts per month to fossil trade. You can do it by cutting licenses and permits to fossil trade, without any changes to existing laws. Just a few dozen public servants in each of four dozen petrostates control those license approvals. And they don't attend COP.

I love Al Gore, but the climate situation is both lethal and irreversible, and its dishonest to pretend that by reducing emissions, we can solve this. 5c-6c abrupt global temperature rise is locked in by current ppm co2 and methane. As Gore pointed out, greenhouse gasses dont just fall out of the atmosphere after a few years. They are recalcitrant. Co2 stays in the sky for up to a thousand years. We are in runaway greenhouse, as evidenced by the fact that we have already triggered a dozen powerful climate feedbacks, and there are huge stores of co2 and methane that will be released as the earth heats up. The only way to fix the climate, is to do the utterly impossible, by immediately removing 3 trillion tons of greenhouse gasses from the the atmosphere, (the removal has to be powered by only clean energy, or you have to remove a lot more than 3 trillion) and then removing and sequestering 40 billion tons annually, which is the amount humans emit annually(because humans are an uncooperative, uncontrollable species that is addicted 100% to dirty energy, and emissions are projected to increase, not decline.) Climate speakers are under tremendous political pressure to pretend that reducing emissions will solve the climate catastrophe. Their carreers would end quite abruptly if they were to admit, what I have just admitted.

Almost no one is realistic about climate change and what is needed. A recent Ted Talk speaker (kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3m9foSCeddghaMsi=CCnwiwz6SCDFUT0i) pointed out that most climate deniers aren’t realistic about the science but they are realistic about what would be needed - a reduction in their consumption, which would reduce their ‘standard of living’. While most people who accept the science are kidding themselves about the impacts of the solutions. Hence you get people flying to these conferences in private jets without being stoned upon arrival. No group or country will ever voluntarily reduce its ‘standard of living’, especially democracies because politicians in favor of these changes will never be (or stay) elected. As shown by the majority of United States citizens recently voting in a climate denier. If there is a path that doesn’t end in a population bottleneck, I don’t see it. Do you?

There are scientists in various fields that are now becoming alarmed at the real world data coming in that shows some predictions have been too conservative and things are actually happening faster than the models predict. Most definitely not excellent. Don't get so hung up on one particular prediction that hasn't quite yet materialised and miss the big picture. If you are young enough you will see an "ice free north pole" but I don't think it will be quite what you think. "For more than three decades, models have underestimated real-world ice losses. I have a Cherry tree that has it roots around my septic tank and the tree still has its leaves on it When all the other trees are dormant for the winter in WI. So I figured out it was only from the heat of the septic tank from the Anaerobic bacteria in the tank that creates all the heat! LIKE IT ALL DOES TO HEAT THE GROUND & CARBONS TO THE AIR SPACE, ON EARTH! So I was thinking of putting a greenhouse over the top of it and just around it only, away from the hole cap part of it.. I think I can use the heat that comes from it to heat a small greenhouse! To grow free food in the winter time~! I should not need heat to have it work~! I have limited sun from trees and a building near by, but I still think I can get what I am looking for! 6 hours of sun should do the trick if we don't have only cloudy days like it seem to do~! But I think the experiment is worth the effort! The plants should absorb the methane/carbon coming off the tank I think~! I am the only person on the planet that knows how to make fish to grow five to six inches a month! LIKE NO OTHER~! My ONLY, All Natural To Recreate The Wild With Aquaculture Fish Farming Systems like no other'$ & Earth Worm farms, that would create more OXYGEN BY WAY OF AEROBIC BACTERIA CULTURING TO DO IT~! I also know how to have the dairy farmers to not pollute the planet if I could just get people to listen to me! To bring back the family baby boomers farms & With not no corporate polluters we should not have~! Because I am the reason the ''''farmers are not deep tilling anymore''''~! Because they should not be doing it! I went to my doctor & the med industry's Hague, Lady that reported MY facts To the FDA.. To explain how Natural Earth Science works!, Without or with DEEP_TILLING That no one is being educated with currently! That only I myself has the do it right knowledge! NEEDED~!! I sure would like to talk to Al Gore I know I can help him & the planet with what only I know! I know how to fix most of the problems! PROBLEMS SOLVING IS ALL MY BRAIN WORKS FOR~! Not with greed~! My brain, It can't help them, greedy people! My business model plan has a whole new way of doing it~! With employee owned business, if you want to get greedy you just have to do the real work at the jobs to do & get ~>$$$$$... ~>WITH NO OPINIONS JUST THE FACTS! NO LIES JUST ALL THE TRUTHS~!!!!!!!! FACTS! I think I will give Al Gore a call~!!!!!!!!!!! To get real! He may be the only guy on the planet to listen to me! So he can tell you all~! The truth~! That no politician'$ can comprehend! Because law & order knows noting about Earth Science~! Nothing at all so they can't help us by votes alone! Being the reason we are where we are now today!
