Thanks for all the Weevil S videos, I’ve watched them all. Had it for a year and it's my 1st. Despite following your firmware and setting instructions, and trying many other recommendations, I’m plagued with micro jitters while panning. How does this gimbal compare with others in this regard?

Hey Peter, if this gimbal have quick release plate, and most of other gimbals on the market don't, or have similar, it can not be a con just because you don't like it. Me personally I like quick release that it has, I use the same gimbal quick release plate to have it on my q666 tripod when needed. It could be more universal fit, but still not a con

@@PeterMakholm I bought other weebill s plate (very cheap than manfrotto or ulanzi/smallrig quick plates) and use it in my tripod/monopod in the weddings and I change fast the equipments. Thanks for different opinions

Thanks for a great succinct video. The Weebill s will be my go to gimbal in 2021, but I'm waiting, as you commented, for, hopefully, Zhiyun to create the Weebil S 2. Thanks again for such professional videos.

Hey Pete nice video man, what you think about crane 2 in 2021 ? Am new to this gimbal and all and going to invest in it but I don't have a massive budget so right now I have weebil s and crane 2 in mind and budget! What you think what should I go for? And I really hate the carrying case thing like you too about weebil s but the underslung top handle grip option is much needed I guess !

The conundrum, a gimbal of metal with a battery that will run down or a plastic gimbal with replaceable batteries. 😁 For me the main focus are the compactness of the Weebill-s and replaceable batteries. Nice run-through of the gimbal. 👍

I don't think that the plastic itself is really a problem it is a very good quality of plastic. My problem is the unfinished firmware and the plate on the WeeBill S which is not very well designed and also the image transmitter system is not perfect and the Android app is also not the best... Zhyun has to improve...

Hi Peter what is the max payload in your opinion for the weebill s? I am using Canon 200d + sigma 18-35 atm.. but with future upgrade it will even get heavier as camera will be more heavy + adapter in between camera and lens.

Hi, thanks for this video. I’ve never had a gimbal and am looking into getting one to use with my Nikon d750. Do you know if the Weebil is compatible ? One thing I cannot find an explanation about is how it works with a camera. Eg, even if it is compatible weight-wise, are there electronic cables that need to connect? Does the software of each connect and need to be able to work together?

If I wanted to use my own tripod instead of Weebills, will it attach to a diff one? I.e if I'm shooting solo videos and want the gimbal attached to a higher tripod for tracking.

The thing that I hate most about this gimbal is not that it has a plastic handle and the fact that the plastic handle creaks right out of the box. This annoys me to no end. However, I think that the gimbal actually has more pros than cons, for me as a casual shooter at least. I suspect that the heavy wear and tear that you have experienced is due to the heavy professional demands that you probably place on the gimbal. The location of the controls does necessitate having a mini-tripod or some sort of handle at the bottom; otherwise it as you say Peter - your hand will inadvertently cause you to press something that you don't want to press. I have found that using the Ambigear side handle as you have done and adding an underslung handle (I use small rig) brings enormous ergonomic benefits. Therefore the compactness and feel that is gained by having the placement of everything where it is is a huge benefit to me. I briefly owned a Feiiyu AK2000 and it failed right out of the box. It was beautifully made from what I could tell but being vertical and bulky it certainly was not as ergonomically friendly or flexible as this gimbal with its underslung mode.

Yes mate. The side handle and extra top handle is a must. I have had two feiyutech gimbal for test and the both broke down. The weebill a is a great compact gimbal that always get the job done...

Hi Peter. I have the Weebill S. Sometimes when I pan it does a little jumpy motion. I have a canon 90d generally with a 24-70mm canon L glass. I do the Auto motor calibration. Is there anything I can do to fix it. Thanks

have you balanced the pan motor? If the pan motor isn't properly balanced it can make that jump you are talking about, because it need to use more power to get over the point where it is off balance.

Is there any mode in the Weebil-S that tracks the center point? For example a picture, when I outline around it so that the lens looks exactly at the center. Considering I don't have a separate tracking module in the kit.

@@wellnesspathforme6236 i go for Ronin Sc, great gimbal tbh. You can easy to modify it by the Ronin app, very Friendly to newbie like me, great build quality, something i dont like is that its a little bit hard to carry

Yeah but usually when you are holding it the tripod at the bottom would be folded in, so then just hold the tripod part. also easy fix to that, just buy a cheap handle

Peter, you could make a video giving tips for dynamic filming of wedding dances. I do the basics of filming guests (more lively and dancing songs) and married couples (waltz), but I wanted something more and I don't know how to do it sorry my English

Yeah it’s a great gimbal but just quite cheaply made in my opinion. The locks on mine are not stiff anymore, if camera is on the gimbal and i have all 3 axis’ locked, it will still sometimes fall. Also the screw mount at the side goes into the battery mount, when I screwed it my monitor onto it with a ball mount, I actually screwed too far and pierced the inside and now the batteries don’t go in properly. Had to use pliers to flatten it back

You're talking about the inconvenience about holding the grip because you're holding on top of the buttons. Did you know you can lock it?

Having used the Weebill S for the past year I have to say the motors are its weakest part, I found them to degrade quite heavily over time. Mixed with the lack of using both follow focus and image transmitter are its major flaws. All other ones are minor cosmetic annoyances

Zhiyun Weebill S is one of the worst gimbal i used. Lot of design issue there. Mainly ON button not strong enough after third use it went inside .
