By the way, in the manga, Naruto goes into six tails immediately. There is no gradual growing of 4 tails or anything else, seeing Hinata get stabbed drove him over the edge so much, he immediately went past anything he ever had before.

i like how the anime adds some stuff to make this mean more then it did in the manga cause in the manga it was whatever but here you really feel for her...think about it she represents love and innocence and that childhood admiration inspiration we all have felt for someone else even if its more of a parent then a crush...it taps into that feeling and after the kakashi death jiraya death itachi's story they have to really draw us into hinata's character again cause she kinda was passed up to this point and it would be hard to care for her as much like it did in the manga without all this build up first in the anime and pay off this episode gives us...the anime did a great job the manga not so much..lets just say that

in the manga especially cause in the anime we knew where it would go since the manga was far beyond this arc already when the anime got there...and the reason it exploded in the manga when he beat pain was cause we knew hinata was ok too finally...the 2 weeks before that were brutal everyone was like is she dead?..the chapter inbetween her confession and the chapter where naruto beats pain with the ninetails beating up pain did not have any confirmation about her besides the panel of sakura asking what happened to naruto and then her saying lets go get hinata's body at least ...the anime added in a quick shot of her saying naruto to show she is alive in 167 but in the manga for 2 weeks we had no idea sadly until naruto senses her chakra...we like him were in the dark...so we understood his anger more then in the anime where we see shes alive so its like well naruto calm down shes ok...its pretty nuts how cathartic that chapter was showing she was alive and naruto beating pain and talking with his dad

they were confused why naruto punched his dad but it totally makes sense when you think about the nientails being in him...like come on now..naruto has no idea why he would do that to his own son...we don't know yet either...his somewhat explanation here is subtle and short and nice to get us to the next talking point faster but we find out the truth later and it makes even more sense why he did it then...he has multiple motives for putting it in his son obviously...it isn't one thing that made him decide to put it in naruto...i would punch him too ...great moment contrasting with how he met his mommy...

i think 166-168 as a trio is just the best three episodes of the whole series as a trio tied with the final sasuke vs naruto fight episodes 476-478 just ahead of episodes 384-386 cause obito's flashback is so trash but its a good trio of eps otherwise ..but thats just me...i would say the first final valley naruto vs sasuke fight but sasuke's past is shown in between that fight so no three episodes stand out together and it gets annoying in the anime and manga honestly...its like back and forth and jarring and annoying...

i love how pain is proving naruto as a hypocrite and his view point and everyone just misses it since his daddy saved him..he was willing to throw his life away to kurama to heal him from his pain of hinata getting stabbed for him..if not for daddy's message naruto would feel hate after this .....by pain he means do you understand what drives a person to the point i am at and how its impossible to change how pain makes us feel and understand one another's pain...naruto fell for it...he was proven wrong...nagato was right...its just naruto has main character plot armor and an awesome dad and hes a child of prophecy so he makes it through this..pain is correct

its always interesting to see someone watch episode 166 that did not watch fillers and see the change of the art the badass hinata twin lion fists moment when you don't expect her to be that much better than she was before so its a shock to see her have this ability tricking you into thinking she has a chance and for the jarring flashback to her past in the anime during this intense moment where naruto is being pinned as it switches back and forth and even during her speech the amount of still image flashbacks and then when she is being beaten the flashbacks its just a lot of stuff happening for 1 episode cause they show the childhood moment naruto helps her out of order plus you wonder at first why are we seeing her backstory now....for once they made an episode that did not waste time..this one is crammed with stuff to look at listen to and feel it does not waste time and if you don't have full attention you will miss things

When Kurama stops trying to fight the seal, Naruto is able to use his full natural power. This is why once this happens, he is able to take on multiple tailed beasts simultaneously with the help of Kurama, despite just having half of one. Naruto is insanely powerful.

bro episodes 166-168 are so epic....the story was so good here...we had the jiraya itachi stuff all in one bunch and now we get the pain and minato stuff..jesus christ no wonder why people loved this era...so much occurred between episodes 133-143 and then 157-168...so much man and if you take away the filler arc in the anime from 144-151 you only have 5 canon episodes inbetween all this stuff going on and even then some of that is cool down time to think train but some of it is intense too with the jiraya death hanging over naruto and the sage mode and naeuto reading jiraya's book stuff,...its so much canon material all written in less than 1 year manga wise all in a row...must of been a great year to read naruto man

People praise this animation nowdays and even tho they're right, it is an amazing animation, it did disfigure the image of pain. Those pain bodies are CORPSES, the reason why their faces don't move it's because they shouldn't move. Pain doesn't have face expressions, because dead bodies don't. Those bodies can only move because of chakra receivers, they're not alive. And in this animation they forgot they were drawing pain. And his personality in the manga is cold in this fight from the beggining to the end, i mean, what are those screams at 13:50 and 20:54? lol that's not pain

Pain the Best Villain in Anime History straight up. His character is beyond dope, he goes way beyond Just strength. He killed Jiraya. He killed kakashi (despite nagato reviving everybody in the end pain was the one who killed kakashi not nagato even though nagato controlled them the whole time). Almost killed Hinata. Destroyed the Leaf in one move (the main village in the show, "the protagonists" If you Will). His theme Girei is the Best in the show. His story is beyond dope, who he is, How he acts, the way he speaks With a God voice, everything about Pain is so Damn well made, kishimoto really way to Go on this one for creating this masterpiece called Pain. For me him along with Itachi are by Far the two greatest Written Characters in Naruto franchise. Pain First, Itachi Second That's why kishimoto named the Arc after Pain because he's an Epic masterpiece in Anime History. Honestly naruto is a good series mainly because of Pain.

she was not killed in the manga either so it was not in the head ..he wanted to aim for the rib i believe to not kill her...tenten even says her wounds are not fatal....he was not trying to end her life..he could of done that instantly if he wanted..there may be a line about her head somewhere but he did not stab her there....no way...or else her living is odd...she was never brought back by the rinne rebirth so

This is what shows that the reactors are no better than Pain and they will never become like Naruto. They simply forget that the anime teaches compassion from the very beginning and everyone wants Nagato dead, which will only lead to more problems later.
