This song is a pearl of the French songbook is a Canadian-French cyberpunk-rock opera called Starmania, written in 1976 by Michel Berger (France) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Grégory Lemarchal. The song's theme is depression: In the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholy interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song, which serves to show the psychological instability of the distressed character: From chest voice to head voice and then falsetto, the author aimed to show a broad need to win a long of desperation and the need to reach a very high perspective! Dimash, currently in his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who left this world!

Dimash Qudaibergen is considered the greatest singer in the world. He has a very strong 7 plus octave range, classically trained from age 5 for over 20 years. He is from Kazakhstan and is Eurasian. Tall at 6'3", a great instrumentalist, athlete, humanitarian, no one can some close to him vocally, and he is not my favorite singer. He has millions of fans all over the world and is just stunning in all of his vocal videos. Multi instrumentalist, is fluent in Kazak and Russian, fair in English and Mandarin and is learning some Spanish. He is well worth going down his musical rabbit hole.

You’ve just stumbled upon the best voice in the world. Yes he is classically trained and was offered a place at a prestigious opera company but turned it down to do his own thing. He sings in all genres of music from opera to rap. He’s a multi instrumentalists and composer too and awaiting his phD in musical composition. He speaks Kazakh (he’s from Kazakhstan),Russian and is learning English and Mandarin. He sings songs in 15 languages. Dimash is so much more than just a singer. He is an intelligent, humble, kind human being who advocates peace through his music. He was recently given an award by the Pope for an MV he made. The Story of One Sky. Can I politely suggest that it might be better to see a few other songs like Stranger, Olympico or Ikenaide before viewing under one sky which is almost too much after seeing only one Dimash performance. Even us dears’ are shocked by Under One Sky. Dimash does many genres including pop, folk, rock, and rap.

Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave 2 semi-tone range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018 at Sochi, then "Stranger" 2021 at New Wave, "Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) KZbin channel, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021at New Wave. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for his most recent song and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. Each performance will leave you stunned. Thank you for reacting to our Dimash from a loyal "Dear" (fandom name given to us by Dimash, because we are dear to him like his family).

You’ve just met the best voice on the planet. He has a vast repertoire of all genres of tunes and I can truthfully say you will never be bored. Some newer tunes are War and peace, Ikanaide, Stranger, Be with Me, there’s older tunes like Olympico, Sinful Passion, Love is like a Dream, Hello, and so, so, many more. His most recent and personal masterpiece is The Story of One Sky which is a 14 minute movie/ music video. My list can go on and on, I never get tired of listening to him sing. His voice has healing aspects if you are stressed out, it’s the vibrational quality, it steers you to positive vibes and takes away angst. You can feel it when his songs gives you chills, and goosebumps. He just takes everything to the next level. When you’re a fan you’re called a Dear, that’s what he named them when he sky rocketed into fame at the I am Singer competition in China in 2017. And by the way he is an extremely humble, respectful man, patriotic to his country (Kazakhstan), and has a great sense of humor. He’s trained in music since he was 5 years old ( he’s 28 now), and he’s tall at 6’3”. He working on his PhD now in Musicology and has a masters in composition. He’s sung in over 14 languages and is a multi- instrumentalist. He speaks Russian and Kazakh and pretty good English and a bit of Mandarin as well. He’s world famous and draws huge crowds everywhere. He is still somewhat unknown in the west, and had a concert in New York just before the pandemic hit the world. Luckily there’s tons of performances and concerts to watch, and we’re all waiting for the official video of his latest concert in Kazakhstan, though there’s lots of fan cams to watch already of it. Also because he’s so slim and good looking he does a lot of modeling for sponsors and designers. When he was younger he did Thai Kwan Do (green belt), he swims (improves his breath control) and he’s got soccer skills too. He literally lives and breathes music everyday ( he practices 3-4 hours a day, unless he’s on a project then it’s like 10 hours according to him). Not unexpected since his parents were famous singers themselves, especially that crystal clear quality he gets from his mother. His father is his manager and both parents attend his events. He’s hooked up early with multi-billionaire music mogul Igor Krutoy from Russia who came out of retirement just for Dimash and has written many songs for him. Dimash has to be one of the most talented and hard working people on the planet by far. I’m just grateful I’m alive during his lifetime so I can witness his career and music, and oh so incredible, once in a century voice!

Welcome to Dimash. This is the tip of the iceberg with Dimash. You will never stop being surprised by Dimash. He sings in many languages while being fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian with English becoming a fast third with a little Mandarin thrown in for good measure. That being said he has now performed I believe in 15 different languages. This was from a digital concert he did for fans in 2021 during the lockdowns. Please do Sinful Passion by Dimash. It is from 2018 and is in Russian but has subtitles, or if you want to totally trip, do his latest MV, The Story of One Sky. He took three years to compose the music. It is a very intense video, hard to watch but you will get a taste of more of his insane range, his acting skills, and his heart as you read at the end a message. It is in English with English subtitles because he still has an accent although those of us who have followed him for sometime have no problem understanding all he does in English. Put a filter over it for copyright. You Tube loves to tag his videos most likely because they are insanely popular.

Usually everyone (including the greatest singers) has a certain timbre of voice, its type, range and voice accessories inherent in it. In men, the high voice is the tenor, the lower is the baritone, and the low is the bass. For women - by analogy: soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto, contralto, etc. Is it possible, if someone could recreate all these voices? (...) No, it is not possible! Only Dimash is capable of this! There is a concept in music that is called an imitation, e.g. a girl who has an alto voice, imitates a mezzo-soprano, borrows it and raises it higher. But that's not her voice. The amazing thing about Dimash is that all we hear is his natural, authentic voice, which has the effect of having several people singing a song at once, but it's actually the voice of one person. Dimash does not imitate a soprano (...) He has a truly masculine and feminine voice with full range in both cases. So what can we say about someone who has a 7 octave voice ?! Even more mysterious and amazing is how, in the same song, Dimash switches from one vocal technique to another and does it so often and smoothly that it doesn't tire our hearing, it happens so smoothly that even a computer cannot do it. Each vocal technique takes years of training, years of hard work! His incredible love for music and improving himself to perfection.

Thank you for a great reaction! Since you call yourselves weebs, I suppose you’re more into Kpop, Jpop, Asian dramas, etc. But Dimash is Asian too, being from Kazakhstan. He burst onto the international scene in China with his performance of SOS on Singer 2017 (Hunan tv) on January 21, 2017. That was the epic day where Dimash gained 2.4 million followers on Weibo literally overnight. The rest is history. He has just been listed on Muslim 500 2023 as a top influencer in art and culture, having won every music award in China, Russia, and Dubai. He also sings pop songs if you prefer them, but spans all the genres and often mixes them, as you just witnessed. On September 23 this year, at his Almaty concert, he premiered a masterpiece which was released as a music video the next day. I can’t call it a song; rather a vocal concerto, 12 minutes long. The video is more a mini movie, 13 minutes and 40 seconds long. It’s really a message to the world. Please react to it, just go to his YT channel and click on The Story of One Sky. He's not K-pop at all. First hint being that he's not from South Korea he is from Kazakhstan. A Russian and Kazakh speaking country. He has recorded songs in 15 different languages and speaks 4 languages. A multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter and director with his own production company called Dimashali Creative Center. His genres include rap, hip hop, pop, r&b, folk, ballad and Opera. He was trained in Opera, contemporary and musical theater music styles and turned down an offer to pursue Opera as a career. He chose to pursue a career in what he terms neoclassic or classical crossover style.
