While I'm sad that DRDT is put on hiatus, the health of the dev is the most important here. I feel bad that they are insecure about their writing because some people are not happy with the chapter, but they should tell the story they want to tell. This chapter was one of the best in any Fangan and it's sad to see SPOILER: Arei and Ace go, but this is still Danganronpa, seeing our favorite characters dying.

It all makes sense but I don’t really have any hope that we do get a future episode because Ch.2 seems to be the extent of most fan games. It’s for the best if the creator cant really work on it anymore. Burnout in creative media is real and very common and their mental health as well. It will certainly go down as being one of the greats, especially the trial for this chapter.

Slight spoiler: I think J has set herself up to be killer or killed next chapter. Murder is wrong speech is such a setup. I hope Veonica survives and Teruko is eventually forced to realize how she is projecting on the killers. Min was a form of self defense and Ace really saw no hope in surviving with the group since the group constantly betrayed him but Teruko is projecting that they are some form of evil that doesnt fit. Also I cant help but view Teruko as some form of mastermind due to SDRA. Hope hiatus helps.

SPOILER!!! There’s also added cruelty to Ace’s execution that if he just faced his thanatophobia and let himself be killed in the graveyard at the start instead of running from his fears, his execution would have ended swiftly. Instead, his own fears betrayed him and forced him to still try to avoid death through several rooms. He coulda thrown himself into the fire, let himself be hit by the car, dropped off the ledge in the fall room, but he just couldn’t bring himself to do that. His cause of death, as well as his cause of suffering, really was his Thanatophobia. Also, it’s annoying how many ppl I see complain saying it has nothing to do with horses. Last time I checked Celeste’s isn’t gambling related and Kirumi’s isn’t maid related, but nobody complains about those. Also his Thanatophobia has much more to do with his character than him being a jockey.

alright, gotta bring this up: at 54:57, "Ok Ok" in the chat said that arturo killed his sister, which is untrue and absolutely APALLING to say about someone who lost a family member to suicide. Arturo left his family and his sister commit suicide after, this does not mean that arturo made her kill herself, as far as im concerned, this means arturo was the only one STOPPING her from killing herself, and without him, she ended up doing it. it bothers me immensely whenever people blame arturo for what happened there.

Teruko Mastermind Theory: Teruko wanted to die, to stop suffering, but she couldn't due to her talent. So she created the killing game in order to die while wiping her memories of it. Notice how both killers stated they didn't want to die before their execution? This is further boosted by the fact that David smirked at Teruko motive and that MonoTV is seen interacting with Teruko the most when she is alone.

While I think it DID come from a place of preserving Eden (since it's clear he isn't ONLY an ass), I feel like the dialogue doesn't really imply Arei gave up regardless-she DID mention still wanting to be best friends with Eden and wanting to /eventually/ be a good person, she just came to understand no one is completely perfect and so, even if she isn't either now, she's not a lost cause (as she thought she was before David told her otherwise), so either way, I don't think Eden would've reacted too badly considering Arei still showed a desire to become /less shitty/ and wasn't completely hopeless after seeing David's true self. We can wait no matter how long will it takes, as long as DRDT Dev and people who worked with him can take all the breaks they deserved, let them take a time. I'm disappointed in whoever attacked dev because of the culprit reveal, they should've expected certain someone they liked may dies in the future because it's literally a DEATH game... Anyway ⚠️SPOILER⚠️ . . . . . . . I actually went crazy when Ace punched MonoTv but then Teruko is about to get punished because Ace is about to get executed anyway but Levi took the bullets instead to save Teruko to repay the favor for saving him from MonoTV traps will still makes me feel ill. And the fact that we can see Ace screamed Levi's name as he was actually worried about him and willing to get executed even tho he was clearly scared to die in order to save Levi before it's too late, it's telling me Ace were still care about Levi despite after what happened. It makes me realizing that Levi is still unconscious not knowing Ace is already executed and not at least single person beside Teruko feel sad about him. I get Levi needs emergency medical right away but still it's really tragic ending for Ace. That execution is FOUL

Just wanted to speculate about the fandom's reactions to Nico and Ace, since I'm kind of tired about what's going on (Please keep in mind that I do love both of them and I'm really mad Ace had to go so soon.) In a way, Nico and Ace had similar motives for murder (Not liking anyone here and wanting to leave the killing game.) However, I think people are more sympathetic to Ace because he breaks expectations in the best way, and Nico breaks expectations in the worst way. Ace was an unlikable person for the majority of the time, but in this chapter, we got to see how human he actually was, and so obviously you feel sympathy for him (You might also forgive him for everything before but I personally think that's a bit too far.) Meanwhile, Nico was seen as just an UwU soft baby boy who couldn't do anything wrong, and then what do you know? They did try and kill someone, and revealed a surprisingly more neutral and pessimistic side. But because that expectation was broken, people gang up on them because they feel betrayed (And maybe stan Ace waaaay too hard.) Which is sad because I think it's actually pretty good writing to have Nico have a more gray side, cause it shows they aren't just a prop: They are human, just like Ace. TLDR; People aren't actually mad about the murder: They're mad that Nico is no longer a flat character that doesn't have any depth and complexity (Something I've seen in the DR fandom way too much.) which kind of sucks, since I see potential in them going into the next chapter. (Oh but they'll super analyze Ace cause now he's also interesting and now sympathetic.) Not mad about Ace himself: I actually liked him this chapter and it's sad to see him go.

Thoughts on Veronica Being a Character 3 killer: given preference killing games CH3 killers main or fan made they pretty much all have been obvious, ether by design, talent, and/or personality, even with certain people they have connections with before they died. It most times depends on how the murder played out that matter more. Also I feel the only time it wasn’t obvious was one of the fan made games. Not gonna say which one do to it might being a spoiler for it.

Ace Markey, but to critique the execution because I'm a sadist but, they should have drawn out his heart attack, then sent a stampede of horses charging at him trample over him as he lay dying in pain as a way to clean up the body. But, execution by fear induced heart attack through a series of deadly jumpscares: Anticlimactic but brutal. It's like Ace is the Yamcha of this fan series. Even his death is comedically underwhelming.

Finally finished watching this! I hadn't watched this beforehand, so I honestly didn't expect that character to end up being the killer. It felt like it came out of nowhere, but the evidence did manage to point to that character. Spoilers: David's smile after Teruko sharing her secret definitely feels ominous. I think those of us who don't believe Teruko shared her real secret believe that her secret will be brought up again in a later chapter (most likely by David). I didn't expect MonoTV to attempt executing Teruko since Ace technically carried out the action of harming MonoTV. Levi jumping in to protect her reminded me of Min "saving" Teruko in Chapter 1 of DRDT. I think Teruko mentioned that somehow her luck pushed(?) Min into coming across Xander's attempted murder of her which in turn allowed her to survive. Since Levi became unconscious after sustaining his wounds, we don't know his reason for saving her. Regardless of his reason, Teruko is seeing Levi's injuries from protecting her as a result of her luck rather than an action out of his own free will, according to her conversation with MonoTV at the end.

Spoilers This trial was BRUTAL to Ace. Like yeah he did it, but oh my lord they were on him like white on rice. He became the main suspect because he was a victim of an attempted murder and Teruko liked Eden more. That's it. And then the strongest defenses anyone had for him were that he's too stupid and weak to kill. Honestly if he hadn't killed someone already, that alone would've been enough motive. Ace has been going THROUGH it this entire chapter. At least he went out a badass, and Levi may recognize the gravity of his sacrifice.

Spoilers for the vid ig So I noticed that chat was saying stuff about teruko lying about her secret.. um.. no, she might believe that it's hers, i feel like i remember teruko talking about having a brother at her orphanage. and the motive feels more connected to xander, if it was truly teruko's, then the motive would have specified "him" like it did with other secrets such as Arturo's. But the motive secret specifies "them" as in Multiple people, like Xander's family who died when he wasn't present with them. Also it fits into a pattern. These characters had each other's secrets: Arei - Levi Ace - Nico Veronika - Hu Min - Xander (Makes sense cause they're dead already) Whereas there's characters fit into a four person group Arutro - J's secret. J - Charle's secret, Charles - Eden's secret. Eden - Arturo's secret. Teruko - Rose's secret. Rose - Whit's secret, Whit - David's secret, David - Teruko's secret. Also David smiled when Teruko began thinking her secret was the dead family one. :) He also went last when sharing the secret at first which he literally had no reason to do so :/

Sorry, but your phrasing at the beginning is a bit confusing. The reason people are doubtful about the family secret being Teruko's is that it is kinda contradictory with her life. Teruko never knew her parents as she grew up in an orphanage. Second, the secret talks about 'siblings' as in plural which Teruko doesn't have. The only sibling she has was her older brother who grew up with her in the orphanage (but was adopted before her). So, there is no reason for her to believe that that secret is hers.

I agree to be honest, what they did was actually disgusting but it was kinda deserved to Ace due to how much he was bothering them. Then again, it was literal MURDER. Attempt or not it’s still a bad thing to do and people defending them and treating them like a child who didn’t mean it when they clearly planned it out is actually upsetting. Also, here’s a small note, you accidentally called them a he! And, that might count as a spoiler but I’m not sure. There are some weird people who look at other videos first before other ones. Overall good but the pacing was definitely a bit messy. Ace as the killer feels so out of nowhere despite that it was indeed set up with Nico's attempt and the details though. That's what happens nearly more than half of the trial isn't even about the case. The secrets and characters at each other's throats go on a bit too long. No wonder Ace feels out of nowhere considering he's just a footnote in his own trial

Honestly, hate Nico after this chapter. I think they have the worst reason for killing someone (even when including Levi). While they do have good reason for hating Ace none of that warrants attempting to kill him. At most, all Ace did was yell at them (which he has done to literally all of the cast). I know he threatened Nico with their secret but; 1. He never actually exposed their secret. 2. If he did, the secret doesn’t specify what part of Nico’s identity they were bullied for 3. Nico outed themself. Their gender identity wasn’t revealed and instead of going along with the vague messaging of the secret, they chose to out themselves. 4. EVERYONE ACCEPTED THEM. Even Ace respects their pronouns. People have done so much worse to Nico, so for Ace literally just yelling at them to be enough to try to KILL him and manipulate others in the process is why I can’t sympathize with them anymore.
