Natea, you never cease to amaze me with your knowledge!My great grandma and grandma used to do this in the fields and gardens, Native American people used to do burns to enrich the soil and helps crops grow it's actually the best thing you can do to clear land for food.Iwas thinking about doing it for a new front yard bed but my nosey neighbors would be calling 911 on me 😆🤣Im thrilled to see you doing your veggie beds as well! Friend your just bringing all the content 👏👏👏🕊️💚

I have these wild violets interwoven all through my woodland garden amongst bluebells. I love them and I love their scent. They have magical memories for me of my holidays in Cornwall with my parents. I always used to go searching for the Cornish pixies and each time we returned home to the Welsh border with a little bottle of Cornish violet perfume with my very much sought after crafted Cornish pixie perched on top. I love your videos and content. You are always so inspiring and uplifting. Blessings sent from the UK xxx

Agree. I have them as well but I harvest mine for tea. I use the purple flowers to make purple iced tea, ad I dry the larger leaves for hot tea. There’s a lot of nutrition in that very invasive plant. I had an herbal teacher that taught all you need comes in the form of what most call a weed and grow right under your feet in your yard! They can be pesky but they are also a companion plan, and I would rather the slugs eat those than my flowers!

Fourth five years ago when I bought my cottage in Maryland those little wood violets were my only flowers. You may call them weeds but they were my pleasure and the beginning of what is now my beautiful English garden! You are so right that they are invasive but around here they are actually sold in nurseries as native plants! I don't need to buy them but I do dig them up and make lovely pots with them!
@GardenQueen

How beautiful! They also sell them at the local garden centers here as well! But it's important to remember the true definition of a weed! 💕

3:58 this year, I have used my hand trowel to dig down into the soft, spring soil. I had extreme success with this method, popping up the roots of many dandelions! Years past I have tried to pull them by hand… and it seems they only get angry and come up with a vengeance lol but this I got their ass! Me feeling accomplished with my hand, trial and my 5 gallon bucket lol 😂Love you thank you for this❤

That was so satisfying to watch. I was thinking you might need to use the sheet mulch method instead of hand pulling but I love your way of getting rid of those weeds much more because it’s instant gratification. 🙌🏼

I saw a lot of gardeners had those pop-up bags to put garden debris and weeds in, so I got one of those soft sided pop-up hampers at walmart for 10 and it works great when you have a lot to fill!

I wish they grow like that where I'm from. I do have a type of orange yellow daisies that spread like crazy. We don't have grass in the desert zone 9 but we do have fields of orange and lawns of orange flowers. I wish I could send a photo
@GardenQueen

You could probably find them! They would take off! Not sure if you are too warm there! But I have them because of a adjacent neighbor never treats weeds in his back lawn! Well his lawn is 86% weeds! So its a constant fight! ❤

Garden Answer planted perennial violas so they have to be ok . She said she wanted them to take over in her flower pot . Also when Laura went to Susan house she had them growing in her Garden. Do you think you would add them to your flower beds like Garden Answer? I will link her video once I watch this one so you can see which one.

I'm sure Garden Answer will enjoy it! They spread through rhizomes so hopefully she'll be able to contain it... Similar to mint! ...or maybe Garden Answer wants the viola to take over not sure! Have a great day!
