9 months clean after 10 years of addiction. And I feel better than I ever did in my life. Once you quit drugs, you will start to see the blue sky and all those clouds will disappear. Just stay strong and focus and don’t be scared. The time is now.

Smoked for 12 years consistently. I mean everyday, multiple times per day on the weekends... it's a very insidious addiction because it can take a long time to admit to yourself that something is wrong. Sober (from everything) now for 1.5 years and I have been able to start my own business while also working a 40+ hour job. I've been able to enjoy my family more and most importantly I know that I don't need a substance to feel fulfilled or like I'm missing out on something if I don't partake. Stick with it George. I went through the night sweats, the odd smelling sweat from the toxins leaving your body, anxiety, etc. After 3-4 months the physical withdrawals will subside but the mental battle persists. There are 1 million or more reasons that you can use to justify using (alcohol, weed, etc) but only 1 reason to stay sober. It has to be for you. I relapsed once before this 1.5 year stint but that's ok...life will get better and you will start finding joy in things that you currently might think " that would be more fun loaded"... lol

@Javier I feel you man. The intrusive thoughts and anxiety are bad and I remember being there. My only advice is to lean into it. What I mean is that sometimes it's good to feel these feelings that are uncomfortable but try not to dwell on them. You are not a bad person for your past addiction. I know I had a lot of feelings of guilt and regret from using but those are all ways in which your brain is trying to trick you into using. Keep yourself preoccupied with productive things and be good to yourself. Make a mental list of the little wins that you are able to accomplish sober. Slowly the feelings of anxiety will subside although they may never fully go away. And that's ok. Your worth it man!

Dude, congratulations! I'm at it 24 years. Lots of trauma happened and I was using it to cope clearly because I've been in denial for years but talking about quitting for even longer. I haven't smoked and this is the worst anxiety but I quit alcohol after ten years. I even had a meth addiction for 6 months but weed I struggle to put it down. We moved around a lot so I started to see weed as a person because wherever we went, weed would be there, lol. Thank you for comment and inspiration and thank you to the person making this video. I'm trying meditation and breathing techniques and a mantra but I know it's going to take time

Im an addict for almost 15 years now im 29 its getting really hard for me i hate myself for keep doing this everyday. Same as me. Spending gold amounts of money literally i literally spent more than 100.000 euros imagine at least 10 euros a day for 15 years more tobacco and leaves. This is one of days i smoked.. i lost my grandma 25th may i loved her dearly. Its getting really hard to live off of this day on and day on. Sick of being judge sick of being inapt and lazy sick of being me. I lost myself in this shit. I literally wasted a third of my life doing this. I lost all of my hope just to gaij it back again through pain. All of this pleasure just to feel pain at the end. I guess easy pleasure just comes off by pain at the end. Quitting oxazepam and weed is suicidal. Im off anti depressants aswell. Wich it messess ur endocanabinoid aswell. I just pray i can get through this i want to quit. I dont wanna be this lazy umped dad. Im sorry family im sorry close friends im sorry everyone. Im sorry ME. its time to wake up :c

Swallowing issues and haven't been able to swallow solid foods without the feeling of it getting stuck. Extreme anxiety and really soft stool. Almost a week now off the weed. Keeep GOING!! Been in your shoes and it took multiple attempts to get to the stage where I am now, where I haven't smoked in over 7 years. At the time before quitting I convinced myself just like many others; that smoking weed didn't affect me much on a social and professional perspective, but once you age you begin to release the reality of it and the reliance you have on it. If its not making you grow, let it go man. You'll feel better for it, mentally, physically and financially. Good luck.

Was in a similar situation when graduating and coming home from uni during lockdown. was just like you, started off as once a week, then twice, then five times. When it came to moving home, I had to go completely cold turkey as my parents dont like me doing drugs, nor did I even know a contact in my home town. It is tough mate, but you are more then capable of achieving it. best of luck mate, hope you come out of this one strong

It only masks those feelings, hence the reasoning why you went 1,3 5 to full blown 7 days you have become dependent on it, find alternative choices. £400 Was a waste, a lot of people progress to "harder" drugs in order to feel better, my release was what you are doing now letting it out and talking about it, , I am older than you at 57, currently in hospital for the past 16 days having had blood clots in my Artery in my heart, causing damage to it, so now awaiting surgery, I was benching 120kg 18 days ago, life is about living George, sharing, kindness helps it makes you feel better, share your problems you will be surprised how many feel the same.

Georgey boy, Ive been smoking most days for the past 5 years, every time I've quit albeit not more than a week or so my biggest struggle has been sleep and appetite, I've lied to myself time and time again once I've quit that smoking again will fix it... and it does... until you binge smoke again, some people react differently, and the positives and negatives from consuming cannabis has altering affects depending on the individual.... Anyway the reason why Im making this effort is that we both are experiencing the same thing and after being two weeks clean (personally) for the first time in years I now feel normal again. The lesson that I've learnt from this is; anything consumed, is best served in moderation and to listen to your body rather than cave into the habit of the mind is something to think about. Im with you brother. All the best, from a long time viewer x

I used to be a daily smoker and was in the cycle of having to smoke to sleep/feel better. Sober for over a year now and I’ll never go back. Quitting isn’t easy, it will take time but your sleep will be better without it. I got into daily meditation too when I quit and it helped, I would also recommend checking out the Wim hof method and Wim Hof’s breathing exercise. I do the breathing every morning and it’s done even more than meditation did for me. Has helped massively with anxiety, stress, mood etc. Never been happier/healthier. Best of luck George you’ve got this, you won’t look back!

I've smoking it since I was 15yrs old and I'm now 32 and I'm struggling to stop smoking. I've suffered anxiety attack the past 1year. It's got to the point where I'm constantly stuck in my head and thought's to the point where I've tried to end my life. I grown up around it and I don't want that for me kids with what I seen when I was younger. It might just be a plant but once you smoked it day in day out for 15/16yrs it's really hard to just stop

I was smoking daily for at least 4 years - bare in mind it would only be a joint in the evening after work and I would get everything I needed to do done before I would smoke, but my sleep became dependent on smoking that joint before bed. Listening to you was like someone describing my experience over the past 16 months since the lockdowns began. Started smoking once a week enjoyed the high and the sense of feeling relaxed on the sofa. Fast forward 8 months i was on full pay sick leave smoking a ounce every 3/4 days to block out everything and everyone, me and my sack of weed were inseparable. Sleeping routine was fucked going to bed at 5am waking up to take my kids to school still feeling the effects from the night before (not a proud moment) then coming home sleeping all day, rinse and repeat. The gyms being closed was hard and felt like a reasonable excuse at the time to take up smoking cannabis fuck knows why but you justify it in your own head. Misses kept on at me saying it's making you lazy, forgetful and moody. So, 11 weeks today I've been weed free and I wont sugar coat it the first 2 weeks were fucking horrendous. Brain feels 'clean', no anxiety no night sweats. Wish you all the best mate you got this 👍

That and being noticeably aggy at work because i can't have a smoke when i get home. It's not really rhe lack of the bud, but the way you act around it effacting your life is almost worse. They mean that your cb1 receptors will go back to normal around that time, maybe a couple weeks longer for some, meaning that your tolerance will fully reset by then. Maybe there's a lingering feeling of unfulfillment that you need more time to think about while you're sober, that you were suppressing before

The key is to have days off. Of course it's a lot easier said than done, but you have to have days off to prove to yourself that yours not addicted. I've been smoking for the past 5 years, on average I smoke 3-4 times a week. As soon as I smoke 3 days in a row,I have ar least a 1 day break. That's enough not to make me addicted, been in control of it. I literally buy 40 pound of weed and that lasts me 4-5 weeks, coz the beauty of this, it makes your weed last AGES.

Well off periods should be long not a day or two or week, they should be at least a month or 2,up to 3 so u can reset your receptors, and overall function without thc for longer periods of time, once u come back to it weed wll hit like u first smokin, and than u have full effect of canabis again,as soon ur tolerance go high, its time to reset again, thats balance..

I'm really struggling, I'm not even sure I want to quit my sleep is far better now I smoke daily as are a few other habits , at the same time , the fucking brain fog all day every day , the confusion even during the day when I'm not high , now I'm worried I will never stop , been smoking since 2013 but constantly since 2020 every single evening / day during a weekend .. I'm really torn at the moment, half of me wants to quit completely half of me doesn't.

The worst week with CHS was my first week of no weed and tobacco for the first time in 15 years.. Two and a half weeks in.. CHS is worse than any kind of withdrawal I'll tell you that. I'd smoke 7-10 a day.. 400 a month like you bro.. The guilt knowing that money should go to my daughter was horrific.. Nearly home with this.. My dreams are fucked but eating normal. Anxiety bouts are less and less. Weed free bro.. Fucking awesome
