I am so like you, I want foods that I know I should not eat. But if something happens to make me “unhappy”, I’ll use that word, I seem to be able to let myself have something I know is wrong. Then I’ve goofed up and don’t care, then off the wagon I go. Obviously I don’t lose weight that way. I love to listen to you. You inspire me, so I need to watch you more often. I must work hard. I’ve even put myself on carnivore, it’s easier for me. Less distractions. Love you! Keep going cause I need you to kick my butt and tell me to take it one day at a time.

Steph I have been keto for years (2015) and have the same issues with food and alcohol…I think it’s just a battle we all grind through daily….the same addictive behaviors are all about comfort. Learning to give Jesus my pain has really been the most helpful! Prayer is it! Being so insecure about who and what we are is really an affront to our God. “ I AM WHO HE SAYS I AM” is now my claim! Gods blessings to you! Oh and by the way, I have started taking GABA and L-theanine to up the brain happiness….its helping

Weight loss is so hard. But I think it’s hardest when you’re close to your goal, and it’s boring and the scale is moving slowly. But it’s still worth it.

You have done so very very good and given hope to so many, God bless you for that!!! I know that it's hard when the scale starts creeping back up again. I've lost 100 lbs and kept it off for about 15 years now, Ive gained and lost here and there along these 15 years, thank God and thank you Jesus!! And I give Him all the glory and all the praise for it. I think you are going to feel really great when you have your excess skin removal....that will be the icing on the cake for all your hard work and youll really enjoy the fruits of your labor big time ❤✝️🙏💯

I have an addictive personality as well.. I've been writing in a journal the things that bother me in the moment AND the positives of this health journey, it really helps.. as you said, we cannot keep anything stuffed down because its always going to come out in ways we don't like. I'm involved in some groups/therapy as well. Do whatever we can to keep going to make ourselves better, one day at a time. thanks for sharing, love that you're transparent in whatever you do. What you've done is huge, something a lot of people cannot achieve. Remind yourself why you're doing this everyday and all the incredible benefits!

That darn scale! I weighed myself three times in a row this morning and had three different results...with 5 pounds difference. I realized that my mindset has too much to do with that number on the scale! I watch several youtubers for keto information and I understand now that this is a lifestyle I need to stick with. It's not just a means to get to some magic number on the scale. Old habits are hard to break! I don't know why it's such a struggle for us to deal with our food addiction but it is. There are so many temptations around and staying strong can be so tiring. Hang in there Stephy! I admire your positivity and resilience! You're an inspiration for me and a great role model for your kids.

I feel ya. It is utterly exhausting....this life time fight. Only people who struggle truly know. What about switching to a maintenence mind set? Just to take some pressure off? Because if you never lost another pound, EVER, you still have won. Even if you don't get to that precious goal weight.....you still would have won. I am really digging into maintenence mindset and truly learning how to keep at a consistent weight. It is very valuable. I am almost 60 and you would think I know this already....but I am learning too. I hope for some peace for you. This stuff makes us crazy!!

I lost 85 pounds (from 225 down to 140) doing keto. 20 or led total carbs, heavy cardio, and tons of fasting. But I was all or nothing. I would be good for a long time, then decide to have a treat, and then wanted ALL THE TREATS. For the next 4 years I yo-yo'd up and down until I had a full blown binge and restrict eating disorder. My aha moment came when I finally realized that I had to drop the all or nothing mentality that keto gave me. For me, I realized that labeling foods good or bad just caused me to feel like I blew it if I had even a little bit of them. Now, I prioritize protein and eat in a calorie deficit, but don't make any food off limits. It helps me to feel balanced and free to enjoy some treats if they fit within my calorie budget. I don't know if this is what is happening with you, but just wanted to share in case it helps. I really enjoy you and your willingness to share your journey and your struggles!

Hey Stephy, I've been a yo-yo dieter my whole life and reached my goal weight last year and have maintained it since. I've accepted that it will always be a challenge for me, but I've managed to keep myself on track. It's all "mind-set" and "old habits" just as any other addiction. You are looking great and don't let it beat you up!🌻

I am new to your channel. But I truly love your attitude. Your honesty is so refreshing. I have been fat, very fat my whole life too. Yes God it our refuge. It is funny how it is so easy to turn to a bad habit to find an escape. But turning to God, making him our escape…so hard. You do need to allow yourself some relaxation every day too. Maybe reading some great fiction. Or maybe a hobby that you can enjoy…crocheting, crafting, play game on phone. Everyone needs relaxation. Maybe it is playing with your cat or relaxing and petting kitty…or praying and petting. You do need renewal of your soul and that does come from God. Girl you can do this…and I am so inspired by you.

Me too! Lol. After 6.5 years on keto I got down to 135 pounds. I was going to reverse diet, but then the holiday's....I gained 17 pounds! Still struggling to get the rest of it off. I don't know if it was the "I did it" mindset or what, but here I am......we just have to accept the the work will never be done. Because of the way our bodies handle food. People like us will always struggle.

You have done such an amazing job and you are such an inspiration for so many of us❤️ I went through something like this a few years ago and just decided to take a break from the scale. I knew I was doing the right things, but was so sick of the scale dictating my mood. I didn’t weigh for months and when I did decide to weigh (once people started asking me how much I had lost😄) I was at one of my lowest weights. I love food too, but really have to watch my yo yo pattern. Keep up the great work!!!!!

WE ARE TIRED... God bless you. I hope you come up with a plan that works for you.

Just to give an example, the 2nd week of January I totally stressed myself and my metabolism out by a 3 day water only fast. I believed the hype that it would start the year off right. I seem to have totally destroyed my metabolism or something and have been bingeing and gaining ever since . Hopefully tomorrow I start again with IF and keto and body-bar routine and push-ups and planks. I read the New Testament in a year plan. I started reading OVEREATERS ANONYMOUS 3rd Edition and writing blurbs about it in Goodreads. Have a lovely vacation .

I know just how you feel. I want all those foods. The carb addiction is REAL! I agree that 2023 was a great year! I lost over 100lbs from May to Dec and then 2024 hit and the STRUGGLE BUS picked me up and dropped me off, picked me up and dropped me off and continues to do so. Caine 18lbs a few weeks ago, lost 7.8 last week and back up 5.2 this week😢😢😢😢. Asking GOD to help me as I have a goal for August of this year. Then, my ultimate goal will be May 2025, giving me two years to lose to my ultimate goal. Need to get off and STAY OF THE STRUGGLE BUS AND STOL YO-YO ING. 🙏🙏

Thank you for being honest. I think you should use the time before vacay to do as best you can so when you go on vacay and you happen to gain you can at least be at ground 0. I think it’s key that you have been struggling since you quit drinking. The fact you’re struggling makes sense. I’m sure this stronghold did not form in a month so it will probably take more time to be delivered. Get some scriptures to meditate on - that’s how you use Gods strength is through speaking his word over yourself every day. Don’t keep saying “my addiction” because it’s no longer yours - by faith you have been delivered and you keep standing without wavering. This is a VERY important point you’ve hit! Don’t give up! This is a stronghold that you need to be broken and delivered from… keep standing in Jesus name!🥰🙏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

8And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me-everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9 NLT
