Spent my 80s childhood living on a large farm in NE Scotland loved harvest season, back then it was four combines 2 JD 1085s and two NH 8080s. Quite a sight. Same farm now runs a single JD combine these days.

Fantastic video - superb drone shots, loving the JD 7810 tractor! Brilliant being able to watch all the harvesting from my armchair! Keep up the excellent presentation.

That rain you mentioned to the West - well that stopped us for the week, not even tried since as just not getting the change to dry out...beginning to go down in places... forecast poor all next week too apparently. We had finished by this time last year, whereas this year we've bearing started. Keep the vid's coming as it's reassuring to know someone somewhere is doing something...

Great your part of the county still has plenty of space for your farms. Sussex is more like a building site. 10 years ago about 25 bird types in the garden over the year... now lucky to get 8. Love learning from your vids so keep up the good work.

Love your vids but as combine operator of over 35 summers, it's a pity you didnt get off and check long before you did.. dont trust your loss monitors 100% they are at best a guide... Try looking up Tony Gardner combine guru. He said the most worn part of a combine should be the paint worn off the steps....

Great video andy, why didn't you chop all the headland as when you got out to check losses you was dropping it? You look like the legend with no shoes on and your feet on the screen. Great drone shots, does that jcb work?
@Itsafarminglifeforme5 жыл бұрын
Cheers Layton haha thought you would notice that! I only chopped 3 sides of the headland 1 side didn’t have any green in it and it ran parallel with the land work so didn’t chop that bit. The JCB does work it’s not ours though 👍

It's a farming life for me! My grandfather had a farm...it was only 120 acres but I remember it taking a fortnight to get it all in....but he only had a Massey combine with a 5ft header...Your combine would maybe clear that in a day and a half...great videos. Keep them coming!!
@TheJules20115 жыл бұрын
Do you get much abuse when your moving the combine on the road between fields? Some people have no respect for the great job you Guys do.
