I must have missed something with solar. I bought a bluetti 2kW and portable 350W panel, with azimuth meter. No stress on the alternator, loads of ports, wifi enabled, and no visibility. I will admit it takes quite a long time to charge from 10%, but keep it above 60% no problems. The last year has been a real challenge as far as the Sun is concerned. Just a thought.👍

Currently I run an ecoflow delta which refuses to charge via alternator for reasons I don’t fathom and a 600 watt Bluetti which charges just fine. I do have a solar panel which is supposed to be 200w but I’ve never seen anything approaching 100w from it so think I’ve been ripped off. Thinking of investing in an eco flow solar panel, maybe even an ecoflow alternator charger.

@micro_adVANtures Solar is a rip off, at best it can achieve about 23% efficiency that's as far as any panel will go. Direct Sun hurts them, through heat, you can fry an egg on them. Little and often is the only way, when the Sun is out clear. Winter means 240ac plug, which is a generator, far cheaper than long term campsite visits, and begging. They are just a battery really, which is why l couldn't be doing with all the BMS, charge controllers, and sine wave conversion. Three bluetti's constantly being used and rotated is probably the best method, but no manufacturer will say this, as it would destroy their business. All of them.

@@YllaStar95970 I actually agree with everything you are saying right there. Problem is I need at least 1800watts per ecoflow/bluetti for work and that then whacks up the price massively if you have three of them.

@micro_adVANtures Ah! I do remember, now you mention that you use your van as a workspace.👍 Chipmeister has just dropped a video that may be of real use to you.✌️
