Emma, I feel for all of you. I've been through recently and our oldest is nearly 15 now, so I know it's coming again. Dreading it because it absolutely breaks your heart. Take comfort in knowing that Lucy was one of the lucky ones, not all of them get rescued and loved so much, she'll be running at rainbow bridge now, bless her heart 💞🌻 Sending you a massive virtual hug !!! Awww thankyou so much, it's hard to make that decision, we had to get our other dog put to sleep 8 years ago she was about 14? But at least she wasn't in pain anymore xxxx

Oh Emma, I'm so sorry to here about Lucy. Its absolutely heartbreaking losing a family pet ❤❤ Ill never forget being at Uni down in London when my mum and dad had to get our wee dog put to sleep and I was so devastated I took the weekend off work and came home to be with my family. You are 100 % right....you will never get that time spent with her the last few days of her life but you will lose those lbs again easily. Lots of hugs xxxx

Oh Emma, I shed a tear for poor Lucy (and you all ) xx There are times when a gain just isn’t important. . The main thing is having that family time and then getting straight back on it when you feel able. You will have a great week aim high but don’t beat yourself up if it doesn’t happen, it will come off. Take care of yourself 😘

So sorry for the loss of your much loved family dog hun. Sounds like you mums dog had a fabulous life right up to the very end. Just shows u will get around 4lb off next week cos as u described the way you eat now as being ‘back to normal’. It’s good to see u back lv, good luck for the week ahead x

Ah so sorry to hear about Lucy, Emma. Be kind to yourself - grief is a tough transition as you process the loss of a much loved pet they are part of your family and it hurts. I think you will lose 5lbs this week as a lot of your gain will be water retention as the take out is far saltier than your usual healthy food optimising. Lots of hugs x

I have just this morning gone shopping to a town nr me that has a B&M so got stocked up with skinny crunch bars, one flavour been orange do will have one later. @@emmaSWathome it is an awful feeling but you and your family gave Lucy a wonderful life with so much love. If it helps, maybe not now but in time, I console myself knowing my Phina is not in pain and is running around in a field over the rainbow bridge, with the odd visit home just to make sure we are doing ok. It's 7 months to the day today and I still talk to her, think I always will. Sending big hugs to you all 💞 xxx
