@robe2504Ай бұрын
That's the interesting thing about the Lions win. If they lost to the Vikes I think they would have been much more urgent about getting some edge rush help. I wonder whether than win makes them think they are ok, and don't need a high level addition.
@willoseeАй бұрын
Boone was spot on regarding Goff. When the Lions were in Hard Knocks there was a small scene where Campbell is watching Goff throw some really accurate passes on go routes. Campbell just said something like I know about the trade but mate you are the person I want. And he meant it.

I have had a ton of head injuries and it ruined my life. There is a school of thought that says when a person is concussed, it is better to throw them back out there. I had a doctor who believed that. I only saw him once. However, I have some great healthcare professionals that have given me my life back for the most part. In my case multiple car accidents caused the problem. It affected my balance, think non- stop vertigo and it messed with my hearing. My vestibular system had a complete failure, as another doctor told me. I had a whole lot of other side effects from it too. I'm here to tell you, once you have crossed that line, a head injury can f...k you up. Especially when it comes to the vestibular system. I heard Tua being interviewed before the game he was injured in, he sounded as if he had CTE already. If he has the right type of care, I see why he would feel ok going back. If I bang my head on something or I get slammed in my martial arts class, it can trigger a lot of symptoms. And it freaks the f...k out of me. My symptoms have gotten better over time, but definitely getting knocked around hard can make things bad for a while. It's a few months until I start feeling good again. And that's only because I have an acupuncturist that does life changing things and chiropractor that helps too. The acupuncture gets rid of the scar tissue. I wish someone would hand me $150 million to not go to work. Pick up the guitar or something. There is a lot out there to enjoy.

Can we get the insight on playing divisional games? With it being chess, is the play calling to win the game only or is it strategic because you may face this team 3 times this year. Are we experimenting and trying to expose things for the next 1 to 2 matchups later in the year or all the matters is this game and to win?

What makes everyone think spags wants to be a head coach? He's 6 sb trips 4 victories so should get a gold Jacket. Coaches don't count against cap so chiefs can pay him what he wants. Remember Clark hunt is very rich and chasing a ghost with a gold Jacket. They win another sb or two and they are both in first ballot

Just curious, is "Who's the mike" like Mike, the name, or mic, like a microphone? Also, how did it get to Mike, Sam, and Will as the nicknames for identifying players?
@TheMagicalScientistАй бұрын
Mike = MIDDLE linebacker Sam = Strong Side Will = Weak side
@InchonDMАй бұрын
It's Mike, the name. Like MagicalScientist said, they're easy alliterative shorthand, which is important for O-linemen who have plenty to remember already. Since this is an O-line related podcast, they're using the same lingo, and knowing who the other side's "Mike" is is the most important thing for understanding what the whole defense is doing. So in this case, "Mike" is the news topic that is central to the entire connected set of news.

Not a chance Spags goes HC. He tried it already and was mediocre - and I think he likes what he's got with the staff in KC too much.

Boonie, I love your takes but please, when it comes to the Saquon negotiations, get your facts straight. Schoen began talks w/ SB & his team @ the bye week of ‘23. Numerous offers and talks. Btw, all of this before they ever started talks w/ dj. They couldn’t come to an agreement b/c his original agent, Kim Miale gave him unreasonable expectations(McCaffrey $) and was subsequently fired and replaced by Ed Berry. By that time though the deal w/ dj was already done. Their intent was to keep them both. SB didn’t play ball. In the end he ends up in Philly for $1M more gtd than Schoen offered him a year earlier. The offer was pulled after it was clear that SB was looking for more. Now we get to Hard Knocks and it’s presented as though they just started negotiating this offseason and Schoen somehow disrespected him. Not the case. He was the priority until, he, made himself not the priority. They wanted to franchise tag dj. Barkley prevented it and then people act like DJ stole from him.
@Rob-gy1ddАй бұрын
Stop it Boonie. He was offered 12.5 per year. Twice. He wanted out. Please don’t claim malpractice when he was never going to sign.
@carljackson8470Ай бұрын
Tua needs to retire. NFL needs to put in place a concussion protocol that identifies and decides that a player is not allowed to play anymore and allows a team an out on the contract. Player and team are being taken care of. NFL can't afford to take the hit on its reputation when Tua gets permanent brain damage.
@danhenneman7808Ай бұрын

As a Giants fan and possibly the only one to watch this show.... I would not trade Dex. But if I HAD to, it'd be 3 x 1st round picks. Schoen seems to draft better than the past 2 GMs who wrecked this team. But need to fleece the Vikings if they want Dex.
@rjharrold2907Ай бұрын
It's just such a stupid idea. Trade away the best nose tackle ever who is 26 and completely changes numbers up front for late picks in the rounds. Even if you hit on all those picks (the two 1s and 2 2s like they said) with an average hit which is a huge assumption you're landing 2 good NFL players and 2 solid ones. That's not worth a top 3 defensive player in the league and one of the most unique players ever. How about hit on the fucking picks you already have to put more talent around your gamechanger. Boone went from saying how big of a difference stars in SF are from even good players to thinking it's the right move to trade one that great and young for late first rounders. Protect your brain Tua
