Brooke. Those BOYS, because real men would not be intimidated by their woman’s success, do not deserve you. One day you’ll find a man who supports your lifestyle and everything about you. Don’t get discouraged! You’ll find the right man when the time is right.

Maddie Jackson while Brooke is definitely worthy of love and I know she will find someone who will appreciate her when it’s the right time, I don’t think it’s fair to assume that this guy couldn’t handle or was intimidated by her success. She never mentioned success, she used the word lifestyle: it could simply be the fact that not everyone is comfortable with dating someone whose life is very public and who shares a lot on social media. I know I wouldn’t, personally, as I’m a more private person, and that doesn’t make me “scared of people’s success”.
@meganp6744 жыл бұрын
Giulia Battini Yeah I agree with that. At least he was man enough to tell her straight up how he felt and the reasons he felt like that. It sucks when those things happen, but you’ve got to give credit to the guy for being open and honest. That’s maturity.

Watching this I really realized this feeling is felt by so many other girls, But its so hard when in our personal lives it constantly feels like its only us unlucky and all of our friends are lucky and happy with significant others, Its so hard to put into words sometimes when you feel like this , but I've come to learnt that the same things like having relationships is not meant for everyone especially at this age, In time we will find something that will bring us more happiness and joy..maybe that is a guy or maybe it is a passion that distracts us and shows us why we havent experienced "love" yet

I don' think I've ever watched a more relatable vlog before, I'm also 23 and living with my parents even tho I'm paying rent for my apartment in Boston and went through a "thing" that started before quarantine that just ended when I was home alone for a bit. Its so hard not having people to bounce things off of, or feeling guilty for not being in your apartment but we just have to stop being so hard on ourselves. As someone who also hasn't had a relationship yet I know it will happen to us soon but its hard not to have these insecurities. Thank you for being so open about everything, sending love
@anastasiareynold94674 жыл бұрын
the fact that someone i look up to so much and think so highly of also has insecurities/struggles (especially about dating and love) and is fully vulnerable about it, makes me feel so so normal for having the same exact insecurities. Everyone I'm surrounded by is doing so great w dating and finding a guy they love, or just have always been good at talking to guys/being wanted by them and to see one of my role models and someone who is absolutely KILLING the game at everything else is so beyond comforting to me and makes me feel so normal. I can't express how thankful I am for being so open. It's something that so many people also struggle with but few ppl have the guts like u to be vulnerable about it.

Brooke, something I have always enjoyed about watching your videos is how real you are. You show your vulnerable side and I’ve always appreciated that. I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve never had a real relationship and sometimes I feel the same way, that I’m unworthy of love and that something is “wrong” with me. Watching this vlog made me cry, I’ve said those exact words, cried those exact tears. Some days it’s super hard, both my younger sisters are married and I long to be in a relationship myself, to have a companion. Sometimes I tell myself that I’m so different and special from other girls that I need a really great guy to appreciate that. Just remember, it’s always ok to cry (I’m a pro at crying, lol) and keep being the very best version of yourself because the person you have to love first is you. :)

You haven't found the right guy yet who is going to cherish you and respect you for the life that you live and want to hype you up and show you off! be patient!!! One thing I was thinking about was that when these guys are referring to being intimidated by your lifestyle, I think that guys get nervous when people are on social media because once you do start dating, it will be really public and other people will get emotionally invested. that's intimidating to people. just keep that in mind that it might be less about the things you do and the type of activities you participate in than it is about being not wanting to be publicized. xoxo

Brooke I’m a little older than you and I’ve def felt like this before. Some unsolicited advice haha that no one ever gave me in my early 20s: figure out why it IS you, it’s who you pick and it’s how you let people’s potential be your reality. You’ll save yourself a lot of heartbreak later. Tough love but how you’re feeling is NOT because you’re too successful, it’s bc your standards are low. Keep going, you have a lot to offer 💕

Brooke, go to therapy and read about attachment styles!! A couple of years ago, I was dealing with similar stuff regarding relationships (choosing the wrong people, never getting past the casual stage of relationships, etc) and reading the book Attached by Amir Levine (It's $2 on amazon right now!) was a huge game changer. Thanks to this book and therapy, I learned a ton about how I function in relationships and how to recognize and break my patterns/bad habits when dating. I'm in a healthy, happy relationship now but more importantly, I finally understand myself and why I act the way I act. I know it's scary and hard to take the first step but it's seriously worth it.

You have a responsibility to be aware that your followers may do the same and risk their health and the health of others.

coco marineblu totally agree we should be looking to our public health officials. That’s in a perfect world but common sense isn’t common sense, a lot of the world isn’t educated or don’t have access to trusted sources and many people follow personalities (trump) instead of fact so they don’t know that the random KZbin video they are watching isn’t fact. Therefore influencers have a responsibility to also follow public health guidelines and propagate the truth.

Brooke, I had to pause and write this - I have felt the EXACT same way as you, and your feelings are completely valid! If someone does not appreciate every ounce of who you truly are, then they're not your person. I promise that person is out there! Never ever stop being completely you.

To Brooke and any other girl going through a similar situation: As cliche as this may sound but its nothing to do with you and everything to do with THEM!!! if ANYTHING, your lifestyle and the success you've achieved is so inspirational and you've come such a long way, ive been watching before you even got into UGA and if a BOY is intimidated by you, you're doing great and you will find someone who's gonna appreciate that hard work and push you to constantly improve yourself instead of putting you down or not motivating you! Love you xx

I can definitely relate with you. I was broken-up with in quarantine out of nowhere and it really hurt but things happen for a reason and as much as I know people have been saying this to you, there IS someone wayyyyy better out there. You gotta stay away from people who make you feel like you’re hard to love.

yes. girl, you’re not alone!! I’m moving in June (during a pandemic) and I was scared of people judging me but I’m doing it for me! My lease was up and I just DID it and signed a new lease. Can’t wait to see your moving vlogs 🤩

brooke, you are truly are so inspirational when you are so honest with yourself and when you mention you aren't happy in Boston. like i am a college student who watches these videos to see how people do things post college, it's really nice to see how you are completely transparent with how you feel because i am wanting to go to grad school so i am making the decision if i should go to Washington, DC to pursue my dream (at a much higher cost) or stay where i live and pursue my dream (not at the ideal place i want to be). sorry for the long comment but you're truly an inspiration to me! 😁💓

hearing you talk about how you feel like you're not worthy of love is heartbreaking. you are so beautiful, strong, and hardworking and you deserve people in your life who love you for you. something that i learned in therapy recently lol that has been really helpful in situations like these is what my therapist calls the '90/10 rule' which basically means that when you're rejected or someone treats you badly, it's 90% them, 10% you. So sure, maybe there's something they weren't vibing with abt you specifically, but it's more about them and where they are in their life. it's brought me a lot of peace in dealing with family relationships that are strained. we all love u so much, and u will find your guy one day !

Thank you for being so open and honest because so many people relate. You don't need me to tell you this but you are a catch, seriously. You're successful, hardworking, funny. There are billions of people on this earth so it's okay that you haven't found one to be serious with yet (this is coming from someone who also has never been in a serious relationship - I'm 22). Your feelings are completely valid because it sucks when nothing seems to work out but please don't doubt your worth!! I couldn't not say anything because I really admire and respect you.

Girl I had to wait till I was 23 to find the boy of my DREAMS. I literally have never been in a serious relationship before this. Don’t panic, don’t beat yourself up, it’s 100% not you, you’ll find your person when you’re meant to 💕

You are right that not many people are open about their relationships and insecurities so I thank you for being open and brave enough to share those insecurities. It definitely helps to not feel so alone.

You’re still young. My husband was my first real relationship. After meeting him it felt like everything happened for a reason. I was dragged through the dirt by a bunch of guys. And then when the right person came and it clicked. And don’t give yourself a timeline. That’s what made me really stress and what has really affected a lot of my friends. Make a life that is boom with or without someone. Someone will come along that will click.

strong and confident men do NOT get intimidated by a woman's success. those comments are a reflection of their insecurity, they are not a reflection of you. you will find your person and you are so young still. trust me, someone will come when you least expect it. love you!
