My family is going through it, my mom has had cancer off and on since 2005(metastatic breast cancer now) & has her 4th spread to 3 different areas at this point & my dad just underwent surgery and treatment in December for colon cancer. My mom is starting treatment again next week and our family is closer than ever. It’s so true that you can be pulled apart by illness or bonded together, I always thought everyone just took care of their loved ones but I’ve come to realize & many people have told me that not everyone sticks together during these times. Courtney you and your mom are so lucky to have each other, I see a lot of my mom and my relationship in you guys in how linked and caring you are for another, there is no individual, you are a team unit, 100%! I’m 52 and I don’t blame your daughter for living with you! Heck, I WANT TO LIVE WITH YOU! You’re a great, caring, easy-going, supportive mom. This is the first time seeing any of your videos so I don’t know your history with chemo but I wish you all the best. STAY POSITIVE! My grandmother had cancer in every part of her body for so long that doctors did case studies on her because they couldn’t figure out why she was still alive. Jan, I’ve watched these videos for quite a while. Each time I say to myself it’s amazing the support Courtney has from her mother. Courtney is right where she should be, with family. You take such good care of your daughter as a mother should. I too don’t understand why people are so mean and constantly put others down, perhaps it because they themselves are discontent and hurting. I’m sure it’s difficult to not read the negative comments but truly you are a beautiful example of a Mother’s love. Many prayers for you Courtney.

The love and support of your family is touching to watch. I lost my grandmother, grandfather and mother all in 1.5 years and it was devastating. With no other family, to be alone is heartbreaking for me. Hi Jan & Courtni! My family stand behind YOU 100% being home with your family during this recovery. My son who is 21 has had to deal with Crohn’s disease and I still have him at home. Whether he was 5, 21 or 95 I would still always have him at home. Don’t listen to those Trolls. God bless y’all 💖💖💖

TammyLynn Grenke There is nothing wrong with adult children staying home, even when they are healthy. I lived at home until I was married and so did my brother. We have both done well and will raise our kids the same way. There is no reason on earth why a 21 year old, sick or healthy, should be living alone without his family. 21 is too young for most people to be out on their own IMO.

You shouldnt ever pay attention to anything negative. You need to focus on yourself, your health and happiness. The ironic thing about these people being nasty, is you are one of the best examples to younger teenagers in my opinion. You are sensible, kind and positive. Man oh man do you inspire me. I know you're a former elementary teacher and that was one of the many things that brought me to your channel. Then I saw that you're battling cancer and it made me adore you even more. Then I saw you live in Michigan as well and knew it was fate that I found your channel. I'm a preschool teacher (also an elementary education major) myself and anytime I don't want to get out of bed due to my depression, I just think of you and how strong you are. Omg your kidding jan. Thats terrible. Why be mean . People can be so cruel. My son is 26 still lives at home. Plus i have 3 girls. Im waiting on bowel cancer results. Im fifty. These trolls are shocking. Block them straight away. Just miserable people who have no empathy. They have nothing better to do than troll. They need lives. Nothing nice to say dont bother saying anything. Can court take something for her headaches??? Poor girl. I get migrianes and its horrendous. Shes very brave.

No one gets it till you go through it. Court eats well. Thank goidness. Shes very beautiful. Lovely as well. She will be fine. Just get her through this chemo. She needs to be at home.
