I am so excited that you and Arrow have moved in with your mom on the farm!! I am a single mom of a 3 year old and moved back home and it has been the best decision of my life. Hard at times, but also so wonderful for my daughter!! I always feel better knowing I’m not the only young mom who has had to move home to start over and growing up I remember living with my grandparents a small handful of times as well, I think it’s completely normal and so good for our kiddos relationships with our parents.

Idk if heat helps your cramps but if it does and you need to move around and can’t sit there with a heating pad, the ThermaCare shoulder heating pads (not the menstrual ones) help a lot and are discreet and you can move around and do whatever! They make ones specifically for cramps but they don’t help as much in my opinion. Hope you start to feel better 🤍also you’re living the dream!! So happy for you!

I actually work in the biomedical field, and there’s so many reasons women aren’t included in clinical trails. As you mentioned, hormones can greatly impact how the medication works. Even if women were included, the results would differ so much because everyone has different cycles. The medications aren’t made ‘for men’, they are just easier test subjects due to much steadier hormones.

Getting on Nexplanon (implantable birth control) saved me from my endometriosis symptoms. I stopped having periods entirely. I would recommend it with the disclaimer that everyone’s body is different and obviously you’ll want to talk to your doctor more about your options.

Fellow Endo girlie here- have you ever thought about trying meds to eliminate your monthly cycle entirely? After 15+ years of debilitating cramps & crazy heavy bleeding, I started a low dose of progesterone & Myfembree to stop my cycle & it been the best decision ever for me. My grandma shared about her first credit card. My grandfather walked her back into the bank and forced them to give her, her own credit card in her name and remove him from her bank account all together.
