I wish you guys showed the food you ate and the restaurants you go to. It’s hard to picture if I’d want to visit there without knowing what the vibe is like and how the food looks. Love hearing your thoughts on it too but it’d be even better if you showed more of Nashville. I don’t have any idea how it looks since you guys moved other than yalls house and gym. I would love to see more of where you go when you’re out and about rather than just hearing about it. Even the game you took us to, we didn’t see anything other than you watching it. I want to see the world how you see it. No offense I just miss when you guys showed more.

I think most people have always had anxiety, before social media days. It just wasn't very talked about/taboo topic. Today it is a very normal and open conversation. Also youre old enough to note that odd feeling then seek out what it is, if that makes sense. Rather when your younger or a legit child it just might be a spazz out moment or something.

On the topic of social media, both my Facebook and my Instagram got hacked and taken away from me within the last few months. I currently haven't gotten a new account started on them. Having no social media at first was really weird, but it's kinda nice now. I think it deepens friendships in a way, because now if I want to know how a friend is I need to physically text or call them rather than relying on watching their Instagram stories. Its an interesting perspective

Social media has definitely changed the world. I don’t know if it is social media for me but I do feel my anxiety has got worse in my later twenties and now in the beginning of my 30’s and have no idea why. I will just have a complete mental breakdown and can’t even pin point why. It’s nice to hear these conversations so you don’t always feel like you are the only one going crazy.

I would be careful with feeding your dog ice cubes. We have two GSP’s and one of them LOVES ice cubes but she ended up cracking a tooth because of it 😕 our vet told us it wasn’t good for dogs to chew on ice, which makes sense but I didn’t think much of it at the time

Omg my GSP is so obsessed he presses the cup thing to get them from the fridge himself so we have to put it on child lock. I’m kind of a low maintenance pet parent so I had no idea ice cubes could break their teeth

My baby was 5 weeks early and in NICU.. the only explanation (anecdotal of course) one nurse said is that the only correlation she can see is that most of the moms who had preemie babies have had Covid at some point. No official proof of that of course and it could be what Hunter said. I’m really curious if we will find out one day.

im a marriage and family trainee (mft grad student, therapist in training) - yes, more people "seem" to have anxiety/depression. i think covid was a huge trigger and let it out of everyone. most people aren't taught to process and regulate their emotions in childhood, therefore they suppress them. those emotions never leave; they get "stuck" in our bodies and manifest in different ways (anger, stress, stomach issues, muscle tension, headaches, etc). We are human; we all deal with distressing emotions and most people will struggle with difficult feelings at different points in their lives. we have to remember that regulating our emotions and states of being are SKILLS, skills that most people aren't taught or learned in their family of origin. "trauma" is generational and passed down in families. What's important is that people learn to become aware of their minds and bodies. Seeking therapeutic treatment is not a bad thing. Society has a huge stigma against therapy/mental health bc generations ago, it was seen as "crazy." from my perspective, it's actually more courageous and brave to seek help bc it's the harder thing to do than pretending that everything is "fine." okay, ill get off my soapbox hehe
@ninagabriel26482 жыл бұрын
I so agree! learning emotional regulation is so important and such a valuable tool/skill for everything in life

I like the conversations about anxiety and depression and I have another opinion or side to weigh in with. I think we may feel like we hear of more people with anxiety and depression because there is more information readily available and so more people are able to understand and get diagnosed than before. As well as a reduction in stigma around these diagnoses. Just my two cents!
