building a vlog around the vegetables you cooked when you were in the mood to take care of yourself is a whole vibe tysm (and proud of u for getting ur blood drawn it can be really scary and tough on the body!!)

I know it's not your organized, manicured content but I still appreciate videos like this. They're relatable and help give me ideas for pulling myself out of a slump, or just reminding myself of the importance of self care. Talking to my therapist recently I realized that I only think of time well spent if it's spent feeling productive, but time is also well spent if you're taking care of yourself and giving yourself time to relax, heal, decompress, and slowly get back into a rhythm.

Girl, same! It's so nice to see someone else who gets queasy with any sort of medical procedure or even talking about medical procedures. I've never gotten my blood drawn and I'm nearly 30. Hyping myself up to get one at my next physical.

I honestly find this type of content so much more relatable, even though I absolutely love every video put out for design and fashion 🩵 Growing up with perfectionist anxiety / difficulty executive functioning and also learning to be gentle with myself after mad productivity drives and comparisons with other “functioning adults” in my 30s is truly my everyday. And still we accomplish so much!! But the wins really are in learning to care for ourselves over others (thanks therapy SIGH). Anyway, I love this type of vlog because it’s authentic and relatable and very needed in this polished social media / millennial land live in. Thanks for being vulnerable with your viewers ❣️

As someone who also is prone to fainting when getting their blood taken- Distraction is key! I look away and ramble about whatever I can think of until it's over. One time the rambling backfired when I commented on the pictures of the phlebotomist's dogs and she told me a story about how her son almost fainted after one of the dog's teeth scratched his hand... I told her how I empathize with her son's situation and then I felt the cold sweats come on lol. I had to put my head down for a bit and she revived me with some cold water. Horrible, but at least I didn't end up on the floor.

Hey Megan? I think you're doing a lot better than you think you are. The whole "you're too hard on yourself" thing has been a massive theme in every area of my life aswell and im learning to look at the big picture more. Look at how much you are always doing and always have done. And it resonates with people! I will ALWAYS click a Megan video when it pops up simply cause i always learn something, get inspired or just because your videos are so aesthetically pleasing haha! Of course what we see on social media is a fraction of your life but even those things we see are massive achievements that you should be proud! Please be kind to yourself, you do so many amazing things. 🫶🏻

Girl, you're on your period, which means your immune system is weaker haha. Your body is naturally going to want more rest. If you're in a position to (for the first three days) cancel your plans, get rest, and care for yourself in ways that make your body and mind feel peaceful or fun, your period will be a lot less unpleasant. I know we can't always do that. But sometimes we CAN. It's one thing to be busy or have commitments, but it's another to seek busyness in search of accomplishment. You know this, you already stated it. But please please please affirm yourself. Resting when your body is literally demanding care is NOT weakness or laziness or being behind. It's ESSENTIAL and allows you to run your race full speed when that period is over. Caring for yourself is a HUGE accomplishment and that is more than enough. You have done more than enough.

My son faints every single time he sees blood even though he has had adhd and Epilepsy for most of his life. You’d think he would get used to it but he’s 23 and happens every time. When his wife gave birth last year, the nurses and doctors were informed ahead of time but he surprised us all and didn’t faint. I guess his excitement and concern for his wife and child distracted him. ❤❤❤
