The Caribbean Week of Agriculture got underway in St. Vincent and the Grenadines this week. The October 7 to 11 event is being held under the theme: “Climate Smart Agriculture for a Sustainable Future.”

Too much talk. We need to put as much land under plastic as soon as possible.100 acres if possible. Torrential rainfall is the greatest destroyer of crops. Not enough water to irrigate crops through a harsh dry season is also a destroyer of crop production. Crop insurance schemes need to be created. I'm not hearing any talk of climate change mitigating infrastructure.
