It’s called, “Ocean Front Property.” If you’re looking for something a little more exciting, there’s plenty of songs of his to dance to including, “Here for a Good Time,” “Honky Tonk Time Machine,” “Every Little Honky Tonk Bar,” “Fireman,” “Heartland”......there’s lots to pick from!!

Amaretto is an almond flavored liquor from Italy. 😎 I grew up with boys who all either were ropers, riders or wranglers on the rodeo circuit. It’s a big deal for a lot of people, and George Strait’s son was a rodeo rider. George himself just grew up on a cattle ranch. If you have horses and cattle, your pretty much can’t remember the first time you rode a horse. It makes me sad because my daughter grew up in LA and is afraid of both horses and cattle.

Nothing to do with the lyrics, but when I first heard this song, and several others by King George, I was a kid in the 80's. So when I hear this and the other songs of the time by him, they always make me remember the times our family would go "up north" to visit our relatives. It is sort of a song association with a fond memory. Not all songs of the 80's do it like King George, but "Amarillo By Morning" and "Foolhearted Memory" are the ones that really make me think of those times, particularly the times I spent with my grandparents at the lake they lived at. Gotta love those songs that make you go down good memory lane.
