I just went to the store yesterday and bought things to make homemade granola! Oh my gosh 6.50 for a lunch. Now I know why you pack lunches everyday! Most of Kentucky gets free school lunch due to low income. We are not low income, but every child gets a free lunch. They have been doing that for about 8 years now.

We have til June 11th because of all our SNOW days. Your thumbnail cracked me up. Our 'standard' lunch here in PA is $2.50 or something. My oldest who is 12 buys extras which we can send a note in to limit her but it can get pricy. My middle one packs all the time she doesn't like the lunch options.

Oh my gosh, that reminds me of a story about my son. They always take lunch to school too and one day when he was in elementary school he comes home with red sauce all over his shirt and I asked him what it was from and he said spaghetti which was not something I packed for him. He wanted the spaghetti for lunch so he told the school that I didn't give him a lunch that day so they gave him the school lunch! It's funny to me now but at the time I was thinking, "thanks for making me look like a bad mom kid!" Haha!

My daughter tried to do that once, I packed her lunch and decided herself to get lunch at school. I shut that down real quick, if I made a effort to pack your lunch you will eat it! Lol she has never done that again. Usually I let her have school lunch on days they have stuff she really likes or when I fail and don’t pack, so 3-4 times a month. Our school let’s us prepay for lunches so they just take it out of her account.

Just out of curiosity and because you’re Italian what kind of salami do you buy? My mom is half and she buys volpi Genoa. But we can almost never find it unless we want to pay like $15 for a lb. and my mom makes them cut it really thin. My Italian grandma said you have to be able to read a newspaper through it.

My daughter has money in her school account for the rare times she buys lunch. I noticed her lunches were hardly getting eaten, I logged onto her school lunch account and saw she has been buying all along!! I was like sweetie it's ok to buy now and again if you want and she was noooooo I want to bring my lunch..I'm like what the heck? 🤔

Oh. My. Word. $6.50 for a LUNCH?!!! Is it gourmet, organic, non GMO food or what lol That's crazy! Ours are $2.40 and they allow "snacks" to be added now so about $3.50 per lunch and that adds up super fast! Packing lunch is the way to go! I so enjoy these videos!

THE WADS That’s so expensive! Wellll the add ons are not healthy at all...😏ice cream, chips, etc. My 10 yo son has been racking up quite the bill 😳 I had to go down to a certain number of school lunches per month because boy can pre-teen boys eat 😂 Your kiddos are so sweet!

Movie is Men In Black lol. The pic of the end of the year, if it’s the same one, is too funny and true. It had carrots, a raw potato, dog biscuits and packets of hot sauce lol. This is my son’s last 4 days of school. He didn’t have lunch at school this year but they brought a snack. I already have his snacks and clothes for the week so I don’t have to worry about it lol. Def the end of the year over its LOL

$6.50?!?!? Why? How? My kids take a lunch from home everyday but it's because they don't like school lunch. For my child in elementary school it only costs $2.25, and for my middle schooler it's $3.00! Is it a private school? My sister in law owned a catering business and one of the local private schools contacted her about creating a lunch program for them because the students were eating a different fast food everyday for lunch. So she created a menu and made everything from scratch (the food was SO good!) and it still only cost $5! I'm so curious about this $6.50 lunch! 😄
