@@wanderingsofalanandcaz Kirkby Stephen is about half hour from the highest pub in Britain the Tan Hill where you can stay the night. There’s good road rides around the area and some great mountain biking from Dales Bike Centre down near Reeth. Both struggle events sportive and Ard Rock enduro run from there.
