What’s the hospital you got selected at now and what’s your tip on getting picked to be a resident at a hospital? Also I’m Curious if your hospital dislikes your videos or is okay with that because i’ve heard that some hospitals don’t love doctors taking videos at the hospital . Also I want to be a doctor but I’m not sure if the long path is for me but after all those years of school you get to help people at the end! Thanks so much for your videos and love your dog! ♥️

Can somebody explain to me how a doctor can “rest” overnight for a little bit (i.e. 30 minutes) if they’re a heavy sleeper without risking not being able to wake up for an emergency??😭
@FacundoMD3 жыл бұрын
ER doctor here ! Having done many many on call 24hrs shift. You get used to this light sleep that is responsive to a message or page, you wake up answer like a robot think automatically, put orders, respond etc, and then sleep again. Impressive how the body adapts !

That seems like a pretty quiet an doable night on call. I think it is important to note, depending on where you work, you may not get the chance to snooze or stretch your legs while in call. I fact you may never sit down. Rarely do you feel refreshed and often your makeup does not look so good at the end of your shift- if you ever even get the chance to put any on.
