Spend the weekend on a Aussie homestead, where we're raising pigs chickens and growing our winter garden in Australia. Although winter means a slow garden week this Aussie homestead raising pigs is determined to get lots done. A weekend on an Aussie homestead raising pigs chickens and gardens is often filled with random tasks like compost turning, checking for bugs, and moving livestock. Check out whats growing in our winter garden in Australia, see the impact of pigs chickens and gardens in winter and let these first time pig owners show that moving pigs is easy so that if you want to be a small homestead raising pigs you can too!

Hi Diane, Samson , the boys will be able to move themselves soon, our gardens are going well we have had a bit of rain this week so all helps. The pig pen bedding certainly a boost to the compost. Take care.

Hey Barry, glad the gardens are thriving, have you gotten to harvest anything yet, or is it still too early? :) Fastest compost I have ever made!!!

@@DiandSam Hey Diane we have been getting lettuce, capsicum, onions and some tomatoes and corn is about ready, our carrot seeds are going really well, but we have been doing a lot of weeding in others areas because we couldn’t get to them while the roof was being replaced, and to top it off we had a drunk driver plough into the front garden last Saturday night 😤, we are supposed to be in lockdown but because we provide food parcels from the food donations we collect we can be at the centre.

Cool video! Would be great if you could comment what each of the vegies/ plants are when you show them and maybe how long ago you planted them, how much you're able to harvest weekly etc

Great idea! I am certainly still a newbie, and we try to share weekly about all the happenings, so following along is the best way to see what's growing and being harvested - Sam's been really nifty with tags over the varieties in recent videos, so I'll get him to do the same on the next garden tour!
