With the Bailiwick of Guernsey opening up once again, we head off the mainland of Guernsey to the neighbouring island of Sark for another shot of seeing stars on the World's First Day Sky Island. Things do not go exactly according to plan, but when do they ever at Highlands2hammocks?!
Instead of late-night sessions, we enjoy a relaxing weekend touring the cute village of Sark, going for a dip in the Venus Pools, eating our bodyweight at Caragh Chocolates, and tasting our way around the many restaurants in Sark.
Just as we were about to call it a night at the end of the weekend, our prayers were answered. STARS! Watch to the end to see what the night sky above Sark looks like with zero light pollution.

SARK in brilliant sunshine is good but you have to be careful. Drink plenty of water and use plenty of sunscreen And Sun hats as well

I’ve been to sark ever since I was a baby and it is absolutely gorgeous! In 2019 I got very lucky because in the middle of the night I woke up for a bathroom break and got the chance to see all of the stars ✨

Such a beautiful little island and you two just proved that as long as there's a good company you ain't need the best weather of all time. :) Traveling should always be like that, enjoying he place you visit, have a good time and not feeling guilty if you have not been "creating" all the time... you guys are awesome and this was a great start of my Monday! ;)

Watching this as already reminiscing about my trip there in during the glorious weather of early September as we are suffering with grim grey sub zero weather in Oxfordshire at the moment. It's a special place- my girlfriend said it felt like part of her brain was switched off- something profoundly serene and relaxing about being there especially at night. Really lovely video, thanks for sharing.

So glad you got to see the stars! Thanks for showing the Venus pools which I never got to see and now wouldn't be able to. It was good to see Caragh Chocolates as I order on line and have bought many a bar and individual chocs for gifts and also myself. Have had the praline and tried the vegan chocolate too. All good. Well I haven't visited Sark..and you know what, I may not have even heard of it before now...so can't say I've gotten lucky with any stars. But I feel lucky to find this channel. You guys are adorable. I was abit worried for Gemma managing those rocks on her own while trudging to that pool! Nonetheless, indeed the scenes were beyond breathtaking!

Sort of leaving Guernsey as Sark and Alderney are semi governed by Guernsey but with a reasonable degree of independence.Herm is just an internal part of Guernsey politically.Jersey is completely separate and those one's like Cezembre part of France.

I don't think the horse and cart tours had started yet as we couldn't see them around the island. We prefer to walk anyway, better for our legs haha

Love sark, so much so I got married there recently, been going for over 40 years too. The Venus pool used to be 60’ deep but filled in naturally over time. Won’t be there soon.. Glad you enjoyed it..👍🏻💕
