Kaid Dauthie did take the 33s for the two novices Steve last week only pennies travelled like a nice horse be interesting how his future pans out.Ile Atlantique like you really like the horse was gutted how his season finished up last season but always thought he would improve greatly for fences. He was impressive and this was a deep novice chase, never backed him ( ie to short) also never thought he would see that stiff finish out over that trip as well as he did.The acid test is next time can he back it up ? hope so.Really think he could be exciting to watch at Aintree out the front attacking his fences anyway keep the podcasts coming makes a day at work easier.

You want bookies to take bets 😊 ffs they’d ditch racing if they could. They only want slots and casino money. Love hearing differing views. Very interesting how Only By Night and Il Antlantique will do in the second half of the season.

Bookies take a bet?? What a ridiculous idea, how the hell will that catch on? The bookmakers on course have ruined racing because all they want to do is take a bet and then place it back on Betfair at a bigger price. None have opinions anymore, and a whole line of boards with exactly the same prices on course is just pathetic and hardly appealing. Add in the prices to get in, and the cost of food and drink being a complete rip off, it was £8.20 for pint of cider in a plastic cup at Cheltenham a couple of weeks ago. £14 for a tiny bit of chicken in a bun and a handful of chips. Exciting times for the racegoer.......

@@awm3852 yea totally agree mate. They take the piss out of their customers and then wonder why attendences are down and everyones off to Tenerife to watch the festival because its cheaper. The 'changes' to the Festival are, in my opinion, bookmaker driven, and they have become condensed into a handful of Global giants who hold far too much power, care little for the racegoer and are only concerned with their bottom line. Slashing prices, trimming a few of the hcps and going 3 days are all sound ideas and would preserve the Festival as the jewel in the racing crown but non will ever happen and we all know why. All the best mate

To be fair you can still get a decent bet on at most course bookmakers. Even the low grade dog shit most rails lads will lay you a few hundred quid (I’ve never tried for thousands haha) but how many actual racing fans want to go racing these days? 20/30 quid to get into midweek meetings, crap food and beer, facilities often awful. Don’t get me started on the festival! Can’t watch a race with a drink in your hand, toilets a disgrace, extortionate prices, absolutely mobbed crammed in like sardines despite them reducing capacity. £120 to get in. Or. Fly to the canaries for 5 nights half board for £600! I’ll see you all on the plane!😏
