@@ABM-UK onother tip: Mayo is pronounced maSHo, in "Argentine" Spanish, letter y followed by a vowel, the same as letter ll followed by a vowel, sounds: SH /ʃ/

I am aware - all the kids at school laugh when I pronounce it in the Iberian way and my accent is slowly but surely changing

Hi, in Buenos Aires I met a couple from Sardinia who were visiting and on the flight from Sao Paolo to Córdoba I also got chatting with an Italian who had previously lived in the city and was going back to see his mother. Some students have brought up the Falklands/Malvinas War but no one in public has asked me about it...
