We were there, he wheeled back in the chair a few feet but then tried to stand up and seemed to legitimately lose his balance. Also when he stood up his face retracted back into the costume so the whole thing looked very comical.

It was a short lived sketch show on MTV…many if not all of the cast went on to do lots of shows or movies to varying degrees of popularity and success…their comedy was more odd and subversive than SNL…maybe closer to Canada’s “Kids in the Hall”. Both of these sketch shows were in the 90’s so not sure it’s aged well but it was a grungy weird time 😅

@@MrGarfield900 - The State is the best show to watch if you want to learn how to hunt Muppet, how to engage in a long, drawn-out campaign of psychological torture on monkeys, or what sort of sweet nothings to whisper to $240 worth of pudding. It's a show that was popular with teens in the mid-90s, as evidenced by an appeal they once made to Chelsea Clinton to watch their show, back when she was living in the White House. It really is a fun show. I think it's available on a few streaming services, and I know each of the 4 seasons can be purchased for about $5 each. It's not life changing or hugely profound, but it's a good watch.
