Oh yeah, I've seen that. From my understanding, I think what he was trying to say given the context of the rest of that "interview" was that the _mentality of thinking_ you're a slave, when it's as clear as day that you aren't, is a choice. But of course being an actual slave (like how they still practice in Africa and the Middle East) is not a choice. Of course I don't know the guy, but this is my best interpretation as to what he was trying to convey. Yeah, Kanye didn't use the best choice of words and, thus, would not be the best suited for office. Although, that guy who blew up on him could have gone with a better approach and asked him what he meant by his statement to gain a better understanding. One thing that I learned from that interview: TMZ doesn't hire inquiring journalists; they hire "gotcha" paparazzi, which is probably the most obvious lesson to learn from that now that I think about it.

If you're selling someone a gun, you should only do so if you're confident in their morality and mental stability (I.e, with background checks). If they're a repeat offender going on to rob a store or fresh out of being sectioned at a hospital for mental instability or somethin, then you share blame for facilitating that crime imo. Burying your head in the sand and using ignorance isn't a valid defence; its only after you've vetted them to your best capability and they go on to commit a crime is when you dont share any blame or fault.
