Regarding violence, I have now almost been here for 2 months and I have not experienced or witnessed any crime at all. I have heard of smash and grab. In the complex that we stay in, kids play freely with no parental supervision and nothing has happened to them as there are security guards. It honestly seems that South Africa is way more dangerous when it comes to pick-pocketing, drugs, car-jacking etc....

You went to the most expensive shops. Grocery at Spar, and Ok Foods, is not that expensive.

Yeah you are right, in my description box I stated that the prices are subjective, and ways to reduce the cost. Woolies & Food Lovers Are a bit pricey.

Well perhaps Botswana has local markets too, I just did not visit those as I didn’t have any knowledge of where those were. I didn’t notice a market for street food either.
